Good. They were efificient and got it working again

Best by Farr was able to inspect the air conditioning unit within a day or so of my call. They called me at my home in Ohio to report the results of the inspection and that the control board was defective. Since the unit was approximately 15 years old, they were concerned about being able to find a replacement. Fortunately, they were able to locate a replacement and installed it as soon as it was received. I was kept informed during the entire process and also provided with an estimate of the cost of the repair. I was very pleased with Best by Farr's promptness and professionalism and would highly recommend them.

First time I called to make an appointment, no one returned the message. Second time, I scheduled. Dustin was the tech. I was told $89 for visit plus $5 trip charge. Our house is 1.7 miles from the business so a bit surprised at trip charge. Dustin came and inspected, did not clean the a/c and claimed that cleaning was entirely separate from "checking" the system. He said it was not a good time to turn on the heater so did not address the issues I called about in the first place. I already knew the system "checked" out from my home inspection. I expected at minimum that the issues I brought up would be addressed and since the tech didn't want to turn on the furnace (which the home inspector did to find out the issues) would have thought the tech would have at least cleaned the a/c as every other hvac provider I've used in many houses I've had over nearly 35 years. When I said I was disappointed the work I requested wasn't done and no cleaning, he said to call the office to tell them. I'm writing this review instead. Really disappointed. Would love to hear from Best By Farr LL about why this service call went this way. Given my experience, I'm uncertain if I would use them again.

Best by Farr is best by a longshot! We were having a terrible issue with our 2 ½ year old heat pump – the coils were freezing up and we were suffering in the heat. The company that had originally installed the unit had moved out of town and we were in trouble. We called Best by Farr on the recommendation of the manufacturer of our unit and we were thrilled with the results. The fine folks at Best by Farr did not give up till they found and solved our issues and those issues were obscure and very hard to diagnose. What a fine company. We could not recommended them more highly. We are very fortunate to have them here in Sedona and are so pleased to be able to spread the word. This kind of dedication, integrity, and honesty - displayed by every person we dealt with - is a rare and wonderful thing. If only every company were this good!

continued...  Well, not so fast.  It heated the house up to 70, but then shut off and stayed off.  Eric didn't leave us until he was sure the problem was solved.  Remember he's working with a furnace that is quite over-powered for our small home.  The last idea he had was to change the furnace setting from medium up to high (which he said should keep it from shutting off.)  With the new control panel, adjusting this beast to our high altitude, changing the power setting, opening all the vents, it is FINALLY happy.  Our home has been a steady 70 degrees for five hours now with no shutting down!  Eric had a difficult situation on his hands.  Obviously it was a mistake by the previous owners to have an over-powered furnace installed, but he worked with it way above and beyond in my opinion, until it cooperated!
This man is the kind of person you want to have help in an emergency!  He won't quit until everything is o.k.

It's not that I really like them, they were the first ones to respond and had the low bid.  They did a pretty good job on replacing the swamp cooler.  It was embedded in the roof and they extended the duct work and did a pretty nice job.  It started leaking in the spring but when I called them they came out and fixed it free of charge.

We liked the workers a lot, they were knowledgeable and professional. The one thing that they advertise that didn't happen was the follow-up. Their advertising claims they will finish the job from beginning to end and that the customer will not have to hire any additional contractors. We will have to hire painters to paint the new conduit and large tubing required. It looks pretty bad...

Very well. Very professional. Friendly. Knowledgable. No problems and a very comfortable, friendly and no problem visit. Very good.
