Alliance Heating & A/C tech, "Jim", conducted an inspection of the Trane 10 KW 4 ton A/C-Heat Pump, new & installed 2010. Tech, "Jim", found "dirty filters, burnt contactor points, very noisy fan motor with leaking bearings. Follow up repairs = $750." as per Alliance Heating & A/C invoice # 002986. Their Inspection Fee = $75. A second inspection of same A/C-Heat Pump unit conducted by Best By Farr Heating & Cooling on 5/22/2013 found NO problems as listed by Alliance Heating & A/C. Best By Farr charged $89 for the second inspection. Owner replaced the dirty air filters for $6. Alliance wanted to charge $750 for completely unnecessary work.
