***Funds Paid to Danielle Wurth: $32,000.00 for FOUR Custom Contained Home Closets from Container Store PLUS over $6,000.00 organizing costs for large move to house and upkeep of condo property. I had been a client of Danielle Wurth's for several years. I recently contacted her for some simple filing help and she declined, essentially implying that I’m too difficult. Brief history: A while back, I hired her team member, Julie, to organize at my condo over a number of sessions. I recognized her with an good online review. Based on that, I hired a 2-3 person team, for multiple full days to transition me locally from my condo to a 5,000 sq ft home. Each organizer was billed at around $50.00 per hour. One girl, Aimee, had been particularly helpful in organizing a casita office. Apparently, I was not too difficult at that point. Meanwhile, owner Danielle was heavily promoting her new, coveted partnership with Container Store’s TCS Closet brand. Aimee was her designated designer. I hired them to design FOUR luxury, high end clothing closets. Aimee and Danielle both worked on the designs. I paid over $32,000.00 for the project (that is not a typo). Unfortunately, the Container Store’s installer decided that a certain module in one of my walk ins needed to be much shorter in width than the previous module installed by the builder. Neither Danielle nor Aimee pointed out that the module, a long clothing hang, would stop in the MIDDLE OF THE WALL! I was horrified. I notified Danielle, who said it was MY fault since I did not catch the error and in order to correct it, I’d be billed AGAIN for demolition and reinstallation. I then contacted TCS closets directly. They were very helpful and sent the installer back to fix his error at no charge! After the correction, I LOVED the closets! I subsequently received some snail mail greetings from Danielle and thought the conflict with her was over and done. Fast forward to now: More than a year has passed and I contacted Danielle for filing help, not realizing she still held a grudge. Her response was “Despite our diligent organizing efforts, we just will not be able to meet your expectations.” REALLY? Her “diligent organizing efforts” were to bully me into accepting a poor measurement of a closet. After I went over her head to get it fixed, she now considers ME difficult! She had no problem with my $32,000.00 payment!!! Huge red flag to anyone hiring Danielle: Beware! If something goes wrong, she makes no attempt to fix the problem. Instead she blames the client! There was ZERO “compensation” from Danielle or anyone else for my stress and disappointment. The Container Store simply replaced the bad module, despite Danielle’s discouragement. My advice to new clients designing a closet is to deal with TCS directly. If there’s a problem, TCS is a reputable company that does not judge a client as difficult because they want their beautiful closet project done RIGHT! UPDATE: Contained Home has reached out to me and apologized for Danielle's treatment. They seemed to be embarrassed by their association with Wurth.
