We made an offer to purchase this bank owned property with the understanding the Vineyard Services was going to fix the roof that had leaked into the house. The paint and carpet were ruined in addition to the roof needing to be "fixed" at the time we made our offer. During the home inspection we found that VIneyard Services had put a rolled roofing system on the roof. In addition to the wrong roofing system, they had not corrected the low spots on the roof, that caused the roof not to drain correctly out of the scuppers. After the roof was replaced, the snow and rain did not drain off of the roof and leaked into the house and exterior stucco, ruined the new carpet throughout the house, caused buckling in the stucco on the exterior walls and damaged the paint. The major issue that was uncovered during the home inspection was the mold that had started to appear in several areas of the home, including the bedrooms, master closet, the living room has the most damage since the fireplace chimney is so low the water just pored into the room. The sub-floor, fireplace surround all has to be replaced, in addition to having the mold taken care off. Since this was found, Vineyard Services has not responded to the owners of the property and will not take responsibility to correct the issues. We are now stuck having to either walk away from the property or correct the issues and try and get Vineyard Service to pay for the damage they have caused. After doing some research on the company, I found several complaints on the ROC and with the BBB. I would not trust this company to do any work for you...
