+ -1 moreI called the business on Friday and Mrs. Vandervoort took care of all the scheduling. After I described the nature of the problem, she got back to me regarding the estimated cost. She was very pleasant and efficient. Mr. Vandervoort arrived exactly on time the following Monday morning. He has an excellent working knowledge of Casablanca fans and explained what he was doing as he worked. He also checked out an identical fan that we have in another room to make sure that the flywheel was in operating order. He worked quickly, but with care and I was totally satisfied with the workmanship and his pricing. Although it is not stated on his profile, Mr. Vandervoort is listed as a licensed contractor on the AZ Board of Contractors website.
Description of Work: Mr. Vandervoort replaced the flywheel on our Casablanca fan.

+ -1 moreOverall, Mr. Vandervoort was very pleasant, knowledgeable of his trade, skilled and fair in his pricing. He really saved us many hot headaches that summer!
Description of Work: I called for an estimate and the owner had time that day. He came out and did all the work I wanted which included: - installing remote controls on 4 fans - installing a light kit on one fan and switching light kits to match nicer - fixed another fan that had a broken pull chain internally -adjusted a light kit for safety -placed a dimmer on the master bedroom fan

+ -1 moreI was very pleased with the response time and the cost. Vandervoot knows what he is doing and does it quickly, without a fuss at a reasonable price.I would use him again for any electrical problem.
Description of Work: Our Casablanca fan did not work, so I searched Angies List for a repair firm. I found lots of fan installers but no one who specialized or claimed to have repair experience with Casablanca. I found Vandervoort Electric through the Casablanca internet site.David Vandervoort came the same day that I called because he was at a job in the area. He diagnosed the problem immediately and quoted a price in advance. He also advised me that ther would be a trip charge.While repairing the fan David found that the motor bearings where leaking and that repairing them now would save additional labor costs in the future. That was done and another fan was adjusted.Both fans work perfectly now and the fan that was repaired is now completely quiet.

+ -1 moreThey were able to schedule right away, they had the replacement part, and they finished the job within one hour. At $60/hour + parts, this company is a value.
Description of Work: My Casablanca fan completely died. I found Vandervoort Electrical by looking up manufacturer approved service technicians on their site. David covered the floor, set up the ladder, diagnosed the problem and replaced the computer inside the fan. David also replaced one of the screws missing on one of the blades.
