BUYER BEWARE!! They took our money for 3 defective appliances...2 dishwashers & 1 stove. They sent out, in our opinion, many poorly-trained (or untrained) repairmen who replaced parts while telling us the appliances worked fine. We were treated rudely and with the utmost of disrespect as well as accused of requesting unneeded repairs! Were that true, why would they continue to replace expensive parts on appliances that were working properly??? Eventually, after a tremendous amount of repair calls and a tremendous amount of wasted time (remember, you have to stop your life and be available for up to 4 hours on the day of the repair!), they begrudgingly replaced all 3 appliances. They also took our money for a 4th appliance, another stove, that after 6 years of repair calls for the same issues, still refused to replace it! We were treated as tho it were our fault that we were unlucky enough to end up with 4 defective appliances! We had to involve our salesperson nearly every step of the way, or we would never have gotten repairs as Centurion, their Extended Warranty Company, kept saying the appliances were in no need of repair. In 2013, our fridge died, and we were desperate, so we called our salesperson and bought one over the phone...we're really not stupid to keep buying from them; we were just desperate as we had a freezer full of food! In late July, 2016, we had excessive water in the veggie bin and called for a repair. They sent out an apparently poorly-trained repairman who had no clue. He also checked out the freezer. They gave us a repair date 10 days away!!! Suddenly, we had freezer frost in our freezer! Interesting timing... The same repairman came back and used his dirty fingernails to scrape the freezer frost into our ice bin, then wiped our floor with a dirty rag, rinsed it and wiped more freezer frost! DISGUSTING!! We sent our salesman an email saying we would not let this Neanderthal back in our home! He called us to say that they just couldn't seem to make us happy, (Well, Duh!!) so they were going to replace the fridge and refund our money for the extended warranty. (FYI, we wrote a detailed summary of our history with Spencer's to not only the Operations Mgr., but the V.P. who is a Spencer family member). No response...and certainly no apologies! They replaced it a month ago on Aug.1. When we then discovered THE BRAND NEW FRIDGE had similar issues, we had no choice but to call the Operations Manager as our salesman was on vacation. He did not want to repair it, but wanted to refund our Invoice from 2013... what a guy...it would only cost us $260 + tax more than in 2013 for the new model! And they would pick up the new fridge. Of course we refused as it was a ludicrous offer! We are currently awaiting repairs from a factory-authorized repairman. Also, it did take us writing one last email to our salesman 3 weeks after the offer of the refund of our warranty price to have a check cut and mailed. RUN TO HOME DEPOT OR BEST BUY!!! Their prices are comparable and, in our opinion, their Service couldn't possibly be as bad as Spencer's! (BTW, we had no choice but to give them 1 star as zero stars are not offered!)

I HAD BEEN RESEARCHING WASHERS AND DRYERS FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS AND VISITED SEVERAL DEALERS. AT OTHER STORES, I WAS EITHER COMPLETELY IGNORED (PERHAPS BECAUSE I WAS A WOMAN ALONE) OR THE SALES PEOPLE DID NOT KNOW THEIR PRODUCT. AT SPENCER'S, MY QUESTIONS WERE ANSWERED BY A KNOWLEDGEABLE SALES REP. HE REALLY KNEW THE PRODUCTS. THE APPLIANCES WERE DELIVERED WHEN PROMISED BY A VERY NICE, EFFICIENT INSTALLER.
