Shields Electric sent an appraiser out to quote the cost of the job. He listened carefully to my needs and my ideas and then made appropriate suggestions to help me save costs. He assured me that all work would be done according to electrical code. He replied promptly with a detailed estimate of each specific job and its cost. When I confirmed that I wanted the job done, Shields Electric arranged for the necessary city permits and contacted APS. They then contacted me to verify an appropriate date.
On the day of the job, Shields sent two men, who arrived promptly. Both employees, Wayne and Rod, were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They worked diligently to get the job done while minimizing the disruption to us. After the city inspectors had come out to verify the completion of the job, Road and Wayne carefully cleaned up the work areas and vacuumed up stray dust.
Because it turned out that I needed to purchase some additional items to complete part of the job, Rod came out a second time. His work was the same as the first time: professional, courteous, and skilled. I would certainly use Shields Electric in the future and would recommend them to others.

I was very disappointed with the job.  The electrician who did the work acted like he was burdened by being there.  He cut corners wherever he could, and really did a half*** job.  I would not recommend.
I did use them before about 2 years ago, and a different electrician did a good job.  Maybe I caught this guy on the wrong day. 

The light was not working. I called and asked and they said to try and change the bulb and it may not work. I changed it and it did not work. They came out and said that it was not screwed in correctly. The man told me that he was not going to charge me, but I received a bill $79 a few months later. I called back and told them that I had been told there was no charge, but they are still sending me a bill.

The electricians were on time, friendly, polite, careful and cleaned up the work place. I would highly recommend Shields.

THE MAN THAT CAME OUT, JIM, WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL! HE CAME OUT THE SAME DAY THAT I CALLED! HE GOT RIGHT TO WORK AND FINISHED IN A VERY TIMELY MANNER. HE EVEN POINTED OUT SOME THINGS THAT NEEDED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF AROUND MY HOUSE. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY EXPERIENCE, AND WILL USE THEM AGAIN.
