My 2 year old cat had a acute illness on a Sunday and spent time at the recommended Emergency vet. The next day I called and took her into Scaredy Cat, my regular vet for follow up care. She ended up spending 3 days there and I knew she was in excellent hands and did not worry about her. I spoke with her vet every morning and evening to discuss test results and treatment. When she came home she was 100% and not at all traumatized by her 3 days away from home. Excellent, caring staff and medical care. I was thinking my bill could easily be $2k, and was pleasantly surprised it was much less.

We have been going to Scaredy Cat for over 6 months now for treatments for our 2 cats and we couldn't be more pleased! The staff is so caring and it's obvious that they all love cats. One of our cats had a stomach problem and was vomiting blood. Dr. Wood diagnosed her with irritable bowel syndrome and the medication she prescribed has worked wonders! Our girl has a healthy coat again and is feeling young and frisky! Dr. Wood also had to perform dental surgery to remove inflamed and infected teeth. We were hesitant to authorize this but our cat is so much healthier and happier now even with the few teeth she has left! The staff offers very personalized service and takes the time to address all your questions and concerns. The cost for services is a little high but probably not any higher than other quality vets. We feel like we are getting the most up to date treatment plans and quality lab analysis. It's worth it to us to keep our girls healthy and enjoying a long life. We buy special dietary food direct from Scaredy Cat and they keep their prices the same as retail stores on the internet. We would recommend Scaredy Cat Hospital to any cat owner who wants the best treatment and professional care for their pet!

My cat is sick and very ornery. They always take good care of him, answer my questions and treat him as gently as possible.

We've been clients of Scaredy Cat for over 5 years. We like that it is a cat only vet as the noise of barking dogs is an additional stress in an already stressful event for all of our cats. From reception (Tammie/Melanie) to the techs, to Drs Grant and Wood, they provide a professional, compassionate service for cats. I would like to especially thank Dr Wood for her work with my late cat Cabo.

They are very good but they seem expensive. We went there because it is a cat only vet. They are very cautious. For example, they wanted to do a teeth cleaning and knock her out and then pull some teeth but it was too expensive so we just gave her some dental food and she was fine the next time. For every little thing they want to do something. They wanted to give her a shot for something else but they said we needed a check up and we had already gotten the check up and they wouldn't do it if we didn't do the checkup again. The total would have been 100 and something.

We do a lot of business with them. We're experts on that. Dr Grant is excellent. He's very quick at what he does and he's a cat owner himself. I'm not sure that if the last visit is considered as a professional visit or not, but Dr Grant is our vet. I'm not sure if they charged my wife anything or not because it was done by the animal rescue. So I don't know what that costs. The fee is very nominal that we pay our vet. It's what you would pay at your regular vet. It's about $40 or $50. That wasn't Dr Grant's work either. We will use their services again in the future.

Dr. Grant and his staff are excellent!! Don't let the amount I spent on my last visit scare you off, he is well worth the price paid. I did have a fair amount of testing done on my elderly girl with a perplexing medical issue.
I have been taking my cats to Dr. Grant since we moved to the valley in 2007. His practice is quite a distance from where I live, but the 35 miles one-way is not too much considering his wonderful bed-side manner and feline expertise.
Great practice!! Great Doctor!!

We have been using them for years. The nice thing about Dr. Grant is that whenever there is an emergency, he doesn’t put you on a waiting list, he will see the cat. He is very attentive and he has always done good work.

I adopted 2 three year old cats and 1 year old cat (who 4 days before had been spayed) from the Arizona Humane Society. Within 2 days they showed signs of Upper Respiratory Infection (URI). I took them to a VCA hospital recommended by the shelter. Three days later the cats were not eating or drinking, not responding to the medication and treatments and lost weight. Recommendation from shelter was I bring them back and get three other cats. Upon the recommendation of my daughter-in-law, I took them to Scaredy Cat Hospital. They put them in isolation. For six days Dr. Wood, Dr. Grant and the staff cared for them. One veterinary aide, Sue, was assigned to them and spent many daily hours hand feeding, hydrating, cleaning and medicating them. All three are now very healthy, have gained more than their original weights back and are playful like cats are suppose to be. Although they are not the least expensive veterinarian hospital in the area, it is worth paying for their services to receive the best care for my cats. I totally recommend Scaredy Cat Hospital.
