Poor Boy Termite Control Inc

We have used Poor Boy for a number of years, and our old warranty was due to run to mid-2016. We weren't seeing any termite tubes inside the house or on the foundation, but we decided not to press our luck and went ahead with a new treatment -- partly because we discovered that a new warranty would extend the old one and not start on the date of the new service (that would have wasted about seven months of the old warranty). What seems to set Poor Boy apart is their investment in thermal imaging -- it's incredible how they can see inside your walls! Also, their techs (David and Chandler came to our house) seem to be very well trained and are very pleasant to work with, and their office people are very knowledgeable and courteous. And there is no charge for an annual inspection (but you have to request one) or for treatment if termites are found. We like the fact that the warranty is transferable to the new owner if we sell the house, but that may be true with most termite companies. Poor Boy's prices might seem a little high, but I think this is a case where you really do get what you pay for.

I was very impressed with their approach.  Their equipment is pretty cool, as they heat up the walls using hot air blowers and then the use their cameras to look into the structure and locate termite tubes.  They found some termite damage that had happened in the past in the walls and they made very small holes and injected liquid foam termiticide (Premise) into the targeted spots.  This was mostly as a preventive measure.  But I was really impressed with how they were able to treat my wood floors.
They essentially put a listening device on the wood floor and it showed termite movement.  They were able to locate four specific areas with some activity and they made tiny drill holes that allowed them to inject Premise into those specific locations.  I was really concerned about damage to my wood floors - but honestly it is almost impossible to see where they worked.  The holes are so small that unless you were really looking for them you'd never notice.  I was really afraid that I was going to have to rip up my wood floors in order to treat the termites, but their approach is great.
They are coming back in 30 days to make sure the termites stay gone.  I'm completely sold of their approach, and the technicians were a pleasure to work with.  I will not hesitate to refer these guys in the future.  Their price was completely reasonable and I have a five year warranty.

It was great the technician was very thorough and was very patient and took the time to explain to us about the termites and their habits as well as how the treatment was done we were very pleased with him! We have a five year warranty on this treatment.

The technician came at the appointed time did the inspection and treatment in the estimated time and called to schedule the followup inspection.

It went very well Steve the gentleman who came out was thorough and answered all of our question he was very knowledgeable. He was pleasant and did not leave until he knew we were satisfied. I would definitely use them again L

I found termite residue between cracks of laminate flooring and did not know what it was. Our regular pest control informed me that was termite residue and to call a specialist. I called three companies for on-sight inspection and bids. Poor Boy by far was the most informative, professional, and complete inspection. I believe that their original inspection was most thorough than the other company's for they inspected not only the spot but also the room and then the rest of the house. The service personnel were respectful and friendly without being intrusive. It was important to me that they came to do the job when we scheduled then to be here. (And there was not a long waiting period between the original bid inspection and the service appointment.) They used thermo imaging throughout the whole house, not just the spot; no other company used that equipment nor were they as thorough. That imaging showed infestation (small) in two other locations, which I don't know that the other companies might have found. One month later the same person came back to re-inspect the previously infested areas and found no evidence of termite activity. I have a 5 year warranty for their service. The products used were pet safe, people safe, and environmental safe which was most important to me. Their price was not the lowest nor the highest: I feel I got the best value from Poor Boy Termite Control.

We are not real satisfied with Poor Boy Termite Control. They seemed to have come out and treated and then they came back six months later and there are still termites.

I am extremely pleased with the service I received from Poor Boy Termite Service.   They use an extremely small drill bit maybe 3/16 of an inch, to treat the termite tubes and patched over the hole as they went along the tube.  The other companies stated that they would drill 1/2 inch or larger holes throughout your home, floors, patio and garage, etc.   
I would use Poor Boor Termite Service again and I would recommend them to my friends and family.  If you are reading this review, take a moment and call Poor Boy and receive an inspection. I believe that you will come to the same conclusion and hopefully have the same peace of mind.

They used an ultrasound. I was satisfied. Every so often, we think there's termites. They check, and they do a good job.

We discovered a termite problem and had three estimates. Only Poor Boy offered imaging to determine the extent of the problem. They were able to schedule treatment within 10 days and spent an entire afternoon at my home. They were neat and clean and I had only minor paint touch up to do. Their treatment did not require drilling our patio and that was also a huge plus. They returned 30 days after treatment to image and inspect again and will do so annually or anytime I think there may be a problem. This is a family owned business that has served Phoenix for 35 years and that was also important - they are real people not slick salesmen. And you always deal with the same technican, from estimate to treatment, to annual visits.

THIS COMPANY SERVICES MANY HOMES THE MOON VALLEY AREA. THEY APPEARED TO PERFORM A VERY THOROUGH INSPECTION OF OUR HOME. THEY FOUND EVIDENCE OF TERMITE INFESTATION IN A COUPLE OF LOCATIONS. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT IT WOULD BE ADEQUATE TO PERFORM A LOCALIZED TREATMENT TO ERADICATE THE TERMITES. THAT SAVED US SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS.

THEY HAVE THE MOST COMPETITIVE PRICES OUT OF ALL THE BIDS I RECIEVED. THEY WORKED QUICKLY AND DID A VERY GOOD JOB. THEY COMMUNICATED WELL AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL.

THEY WERE PROMPT. THEY CAME WHEN IT WAS CONVENIENT FOR ME. THEY EXPLAINED THE TREATMENT AND WHAT TO WATCH FOR.

I HAD TO HAVE HOUSE TREATED IN ORDER TO SELL IT, THEY ARE AN OK COMPANY.

POOR BOY PERFORMED TERMITE TREATMENTS ON OUR OLD HOUSE OF 1800 SQUARE FEET, WHERE TERMITES WERE FOUND IN FOUR LOCATIONS. THE TREATMENT WAS $500 AND INCLUDED A ONE YEAR WARRANTY. THE TREATMENT WAS EFFECTIVE AND THE TECHNICIAN EXPLAINED HIS WORK AND THE SUBSEQUENT WARRANTY. THE RATES FOR SERVICE WERE LOWER THAN COMPETITORS IN THE AREA. POOR BOY ALSO PERFORMED THE TERMITE INSPECTION AND TREATMENT ON OUR NEW HOME OF 2200 SQUARE FEET. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND THOROUGH AND ALSO EXPLAINED THEIR WORK AND WARRANTY. THEY HAVE SINCE BEEN TO OUR HOUSE FOR ANOTHER INSPECTION WHICH TURNED OUT NOT TO BE TERMITES.
