Gary, the principal, was exceedingly responsive and professional from initial contact to final closing.  We've purchased 9 houses in our lives and this went by far the smoothest on the financing side even though it was a short sale.  Gary kept us in the loop and was totally helpful, honorable, and most professional.  He was most cooperative even as we switched from a 5 year ARM to 30 year and finally to 15 year fixed product.  His advice on when to lock the 15 yr rate proved to get us a historically low rate without paying any points.  Gary was always immediately accessible via phone and never failed to respond promptly to emails.  This was critical because we live in Seattle and the purchase was a vacation home in Arizona so we were not able to be there.  We had planned to travel to AZ for closing, but at the last minute Gary was  able to switch us to remotely signing electronically because we couldn't make the trip.  This e-signing also went very smoothly, but the downside was we did not actually get to meet Gary!  In any case, we unreservedly recommend Gary as an individual with integrity in an industry where such qualities cannot be taken for granted.
