Oasis Air tried to RIP OFF. I had an appointment for Air conditioner repair work yesterday (08/12) and Mike Varela from Oasis Air came. He did a quick diagnosis and told me a circuit board on the fan unit outside needs to be replaced and would cost $1000+ for parts. I was not convinced by the price and so just let him go with the visit charge of $125. Today I had a tech from another company come and he after a 5 min diagnosis said the thermostat needs to be programmed. He took another 5 mins to program it and my Air conditioner is working perfectly fine.

I give them credit for being the first to respond to my Angi request and good communication prior to arriving for the work. In my case the technician analyzed my AC unit and concluded I had a leaking Tx valve and quoted $2600 to repair. The refrigerant charge alone $1600. Also told me my unit was a 2021 and when I said not possible since we bought the house in 2019 he said then it’s a 2012. In reality I had a pinhole leak at the condenser with obvious oil leak at the bottom of the unit and the unit was manufactured in 2016. The repair was then done under home warranty by different contractor and they charged $425 including 9lb refrigerant.

Douglas & his coworker were informing on what the problem was & what needed to be done to get fixed. He also explained & showed pics of what he recommended to be done on coils that I had no idea about. Was polite, prompt, & had answers to all questions. With all this being said, we chose to ask about a yearly maintenance plan & signed up for it immediately but haven't received any info on membership for annual maintenance.

My technician Amer was excellent very professional. It took seven days to get my air going my home was 90°. All that was replaced was a blower fan. The customer service at Oasis air is the worst I’ve seen in a long time. I called four times and asked for a return call never received it. I was always put on the bottom of the list, or was not put on the list I would not recommend this company for AC work. I have a service contract with this company, and my part was under warranty and still treated poorly. I have even asked to speak to the general manager, and nothing.

Paid $125 for a service tech to come out and diagnose the issue. Said it was a bad run cap that needed replacing. Then said it will cost an additional $387 to replace. I have knowledge of ac repairs and questioned why are they charging almost $400 for a part I know cost about $20. Tech got offended and became rude said he wasn’t gonna fight with me about it. I refused service and said I would repair on my own. I went to an appliance store, paid $17 for a run cap and replaced it myself in lest than 5 minutes. Highly expensive company!

While you might come across different parts elsewhere, not all of them are the same size or quality as the ones we supply. Our parts are more efficient, ensuring that your HVAC system runs smoothly and is up to industry standards. Also, we offer a one-year warranty on all part replacements and a 10-year warranty on new unit installations. This warranty ensures that you are covered in case of any issues that may arise after the appointment."

Amer did great, he was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and made sure to let me know exactly what was going on and how much it was going to be before replacing anything. I being a general contractor know the pricing is a little high but it is well worth it when you have someone doing their job as efficiently as Amer did. Thank you

Work was done quickly and I believe correctly. I did not receive any pictures of work done or old parts. I also did not get an email receipt.
