He was prompt, courteous, professional and friendly. Clearly takes pride in his work and despite the far that he spent well over 3 hours here, he did not ask for another dime. I would recommend and hire again without hesitation

Scheduled service for PM and Matt said he would call when he knew the exact time. Got a call from Matt half hour before his arrival. Offered to wear booties but I told him it wasn't necessary. He proceeded to set up his equipment including covering washer and dryer for protection. He put rug pieces under the washer and dryer to move them and to prevent damage to the flooring. He was very thorough cleaning the vent from both ends. Also cleaned the lint trap in the dryer, as well as, the vent tube from dryer to the wall. Also he cleaned the walls, floor and backs of the appliances. He cleaned up after himself everywhere he was working. I was very impressed and would recommend him to everyone.

Arrived on time and was very professional. He cleaned up his work areas when finished. I have used Northstar before and am very pleased with their work. I recommend them for any type of plumbing repair.

I was worried about periodic run-off of water from a pipe of unknown origin atop my house.

They did a deplorable job. Three examples: 1. Shortly after we moved in, one of the sewer lines was clogged. We hired a drain cleaner and they found that Northstar had shoved a pipe plug down the sewer line instead of pulling it out and trashing it. 2. Our steam shower quit. They came back about 8 or 10 times, each time they replaced more parts. After $1800 in repair parts on a $2500 steamer, I told them to not come back. I called factory and they said that the first thing they should have replaced was the tank. I ordered one for $600, hired a new plumber to replace it and it works fine. 3. Instead of using a fitting on the drain below our kitchen sink, they just used a glob of silicone caulk. That held for six years, but it gave way allowing water to drain under our Australian Cypress wood floor. About 500 sf of wood floor will have to be replaced due to their incompetence.

KEITH, THE PLUMBER, ACCOMPANIED BY ANOTHER GENT (WATCHED ONLY) WAS ON-TIME. INSTALLED THE PUMP ON THE WATER HEATER, AS WELL AS A BYPASS VALVE IN THE BATHROOM FURTHEST AWAY FROM THE GARAGE, IN 28 MINUTES. I'M TOLD THE CONTRACTOR PRICE FOR THE PUMP IS $310. IF SO, THE LABOR/ADMIN COST OF $160 FOR A 28-MINUTE JOB (ON-SITE ONLY) SEEMS A BIT STIFF TO ME, BUT I'M HARDLY A PRO IN THE PLUMBING BUSINESS. HAD TO ASK FRANK TO DRESS THE POWER CABLE FOR THE PUMP MORE NEATLY IN ORDER TO STAY AWAY FROM THE HEATER VENT AND OTHER PIPING AND CABLES. PUMP WORKING FINE.

ALTHOUGH THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE WAS VERY NICE AND DID LOOK AT OUR HVAC AND 'SWAMP' COOLER SYSTEMS, HE WAS MORE OF A SALESMAN THAN A HELP. HE PROMISED TO PROVIDE A WRITTEN ESTIMATE FOR A NEW SYSTEM (OURS WAS MORE THAN 30 YEARS OLD,) BUT IT WAS NEVER PROVIDED. FINALLY, WHEN MY HUSBAND CALLED, ANOTHER REPRESENTATIVE VISITED OUR HOUSE AND PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE. OVERALL, WE WERE NOT IMPRESSED.

THE COMPANY WHO INSTALLED IT PUT US ON A 7-DAY WAITLIST, BUT NORTHSTAR CAME WITHIN 3 HOURS. THEY SOLVED THE PROBLEM, MADE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR AIR BALANCING AND TUNED UP OUR THERMOSTATS, WHILE THEY WERE AT IT.

THE COMPANY PROVIDED THE SERVICES AS PROMISED. THEY TRY TO ENTICE YOU TO BUY A SERVICE AGREEMENT BY SHOWING THE STANDARD RATE FOR SERVICE VERSUS THE VALUE RATE.
