Cody had all of my jewelry which he said he'd clean and polish. I didn't receive any type of receipt for my jewelry, just a photo copy of the pieces. When it became apparent we wouldn't be doing business together he did neither. He did change one of two watch batteries for $12. The second watch was taped together as once he took the back off he didn't have the battery it needed nor the machine required to replace the back. I think we each had a set of expectations which the other couldn't meet

Mill Avenue apparently uses a subcontractor to perform watch repairs, but Cody Cooper kept himself informed of the progress of the repair and was always able to tell me what was going on with it when I called. The repair took about a month because of difficulties in locating replacement parts. When the storage battery was replaced the watch still did not function and it was determined that a capacitor also had to be replaced. Since the repair work was done, the watch has functioned perfectly. At one point during the process, I asked Cody if if would make more sense simply to replace the watch. He provided good advice that it a well-made watch with better parts than current watches and had held its value over the years. When it came time to pay for repairs, Cody said that he was just charging me what his subcontractor charged for the parts and the work (no markup). Even though watch repair is not the main focus of his business, Cody still does his best to provide good service and ensure that customers will return for their jewelry needs.

The first ring was done perfectly. After assessing the second ring, which I had just bought, Cody refused to resize the ring due to its design. He didn't think the stones would remain secure in the setting. After looking at what he wasworried about, I agreed and returned the ring. Cody was able to make me a beautiful ring along the same lines but with stones in a more secure setting and at the same price point. Cody was professional and informative and I would recommend him for any jewelry needs.

To continue wearing 3 Tiffany's celebration bands that make up my wedding ring, I needed to have them enlarged a full size each. Tiffany's said it couldn't be done. The rings are all different with intricate designs and small diamonds set in platinum all the way around the bands. Cody Cooper said it could be done and he delivered! The creativity and craftsmanship with which he added the metal and small stones seamlessly following each band's pattern has given me 3 beautiful rings that I will continue to enjoy for years! If you have jewelry that you need altered, don't hesitate to contact Mill Avenue Jewelers. I am so glad that I did.

He showed me my rings under the microscope so I could see exactly what was wrong. He also noticed some minor things that he didn't recommend fixing. He polished my rings as well as my husband's band so they looked brand new. Everything was done in less than 24 hours. I will be using him again for any type of jewelry repair!

Could not be happier with the results!  This project was a 25th wedding anniversary gift to ourselves and the rings are absolutely beautiful.  I chose Cody after reading his reviews from Angie's List and was impressed by the trusting relationship and quality work that former return customers described.  I could not agree more.  We were very jewelry naive and knew nothing about jewelers in the Phoenix area, but we knew that the work we desired would not be best accomplished in a large chain retail jeweler.  We are very happy we chose Cody and Mill Avenue Jewelers and would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family (and already have!) Cody even came to my work location twice because it saved me driving a longer distance on the weekend in order to approve the molds and then to deliver the rings.  Great service!  I will definitely be a return customer for our family's jewelry needs in the future.

My husband and I have custom Opal and diamond wedding rings. My diamond needed the prongs retipped, which required all of the opal inlay to be removed. No chain store jewelry store will perform this work. My husband's opal had cracked and needed to be replaced, as well as the shank was broken on the ring. Mr. Cody Cooper was professional, did amazing work and our rings look brand new! Very happy with the service and how our rings came out. Great job!

In the past, I lost a diamond from a ring and now go to Cody about every six months to make sure the stones in all my rings are secure and to have him handle any other jewelry needs I have. He is always a pleasure to deal with, thorough, professional, and reasonably priced.

Cody Cooper, who owns Mill Avenue Jewelers, has always done an excellent job at very reasonable prices and provided terrific customer service the many years I have gone to him with my jewelry. Simple repairs have cost less than $10. I have peridically done some comparison shopping, and he always had had the most reasonable price for a quality job. I was devastated when I lost a diamond out of my anniversary ring. He found a matching diamond, and did a wonderful repair job. Although I have not used his jewelry design and appraisal services, I would turn first to him for that, as well. His location in Tempe has closed, and he is in the process of opening another location. In the meantime, he arranges convenient locations for dropping off and picking up jewelry. I have done this many times, and he is always punctional and conscientious. I have trusted him with jewelry that has been in my family for many years.
