Demo and work started 3/5/2013. Still NOT done!!! Initial time frame was three weeks. After a change in kitchen cabinets to new Ikea, we expected a delay. It is now 9/22/2013
Work went well for first two weeks during demo and electrical work. Then work became slower. Crew at house maybe twice a week.
Priotr to contract agreement phone calls and emails were returned immediately. As time went on. phone calls went unreturned. Some e-mails were answered, others were not. A month into the project we found out that the home remodel was a second job and that Freeman Reiff was into commercial work. Remodel was just a sideline.
Project status
Ikea kitchen cabinets (Ikea install) great. Counter tops look OK. Kitchen back splash is a mess. Mosaic tile looks like a kindergarten art project. Hall bath looks the same. Stove vent is not framed in.
Flooring looks great.
Master bath sinks are not plumbed and the shower handle was installed improperly..wrong valve!
Final "punch list" never completed.
We are in contract dispute.

"Hello [member name removed], I was very sorry to learn of your experience and your review. Freeman Reiff Construction holds the highest standards, and customer satisfaction is a priority. I see this posting was from a while ago, but it was just brought to my attention or I would have responded to it sooner. As I recall, we made the construction corrections you asked for, and reduced the price considerably in a good faith effort to make things right. The backsplash was redone and paid for by us in an effort to rectify the situation, including a different finish material as much of the issue was that you were unhappy with your choice once it was installed. There were also several construction changes and lingering decisions on your part that added to the timeline as you are aware. That said, I am again very sorry to learn of your disappointment and apologize for any failure on our part. As a follow up, the contract dispute was resolved and mutually agreed upon, and all remaining punch items were completed per our agreement.
