I thought the she was very thorough in explaining what was going to happen, she asked me questions about my fears and she made me know what typically goes on in a colonoscopy. When I woke up, she told me the findings and they contacted me within a certain time period and they gave me pictures of the procedure that I could take home with me.

I was referred to Dr Skoog by my GYN. When I started having a problem and realized I needed to do what I have put off, the dreaded "over 50 colonoscopy" to rule out anything serious. I spoke to the appointment desk on 4/3/14 at 1:08pm, as logged on my phone statement. I was asked if I was employed, I said no, but I knew my ADP Cobra Coverage plan with BCBS PPO was excellent. The admin said BCBS PPO will not cover me. I am fully paid up on my premiums and certainly have the money to make the co-payment. Dr Skoog is listed on the BCBS PPO provider site while I am logged in under my plan. The doctor needs to report to BCBS that she is not accepting new patients. I felt this was very unprofessional. My insurance is certainly adequate and my BCBS PPO does cover doctor specialist visits at $30/visit.

He has addressed all issues and has put me on a specific path toward treating my medical problems.

He's wonderful, thorough and kind. He's empathetic as well as a fine physician.

In both cases, I had to have anesthesia. Dr. skoog and the anesthesiologist put my mind at ease about that. Dr. Skoog and the entire staff (and the anesthesiologist) was very professional. My husband came with me (because of the anesthesia) and he, too, was very impressed. She explained the results clearly and her office was able to get my insurance company to cover it (they should have anyway, according to my policy, but chose to fight with me about it). I highly recommend Digestive Health and especially Dr. Skoog for any gastrointestinal issues.

The procedure was very quick. You go in, they put you to sleep and once you wake up, you receive your release information.  Dr. Zitomer cared enough to share what he could with myself and my wife, so we did not have to wait in suspense for the test results.

He's just extremely competent. He is a lovely man, has a lovely manner. He's very informative and helpful. He's highly skilled. His office staff is top notch.

Dr. Skoog has a nice bedside manner and after reviewing my symptoms ordered a colonoscopy and endoscopy.  The procedures went very well with no complications.  They have their own procedure center and the staff working with the doctor made me feel very comfortable and relaxed.

Procedure was painless.  Dr. Jones took time to explain things before the procedure and was very thorough in discussing the results with me.  I have recommended him to many friends and family.

Set up endoscopy. Dr. Jones listened and responded. Will have to wait to see what happens 12/13/2012. They set up time for procedure in hospital due to my problems.

Procedure went well. No complaints whatsoever. Easy to follow instructions and people willing to answer questions.

Colonoscopy went as planned with no issues.

Upon my description, Dr Zitomer was pretty sure he knew what the problem was. He had me in surgery within two days. It turned out to be worse than he had originally thought. He took care of the problem, with expediency. He was very knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable with him.

No patient really wants to go through with this procedure; however, Dr. Zitomer makes it as pleasant as possible all the way through. Since I had surgery, I have had an exam every five years for over 20 years, and the last procedure with Zitomer was by far the easiest. Make sure you follow instructions exactly!

They did it quickly and well and it was a superb job.
