DESERT STATE HOME INSPECTIONS

I chose Desert State for my home inspection instead of the one assigned by my realtor just to prevent any conflict of interest (and to get a lower price). Steve was the inspector and he immediately alerted us to what he identified as major structural issues in the foundation cracks. He covered everything from pool equipment, attic leaks and even the LCD panel on the oven/stove not illuminating all digits correctly. We therefore backed out of the deal and plan on using Desert State again for the next house we find, hopefully soon.

It took three inspections on three different homes before we landed on the right home. Thank goodness we had Matt and his company doing the inspections. He was thorough, detailed and really took his time. He provided both a summary recap at the time of inspection and a full report with pictures by the end of the SAME day. If he had not been so detailed we would never have found so many things wrong on the first two homes. Had we bought one of them we would have been out a lot of money eventually. We have bought and sold a lot of homes. I have seen inspectors use binoculars to look at the roof. Matt gets on every roof and in every attic. I have also never seen an inspector who actually checks and operates every window in the house and checks every outlet. His wife Christie is also super nice and extremely accommodating, she takes care of all the scheduling. They understood my work schedule was inflexible and that I wanted to be there for the entire inspection. They did not hesitate to get me in on the weekend and by the way three weekends in a row as we needed to find a house ASAP. Thinking about all the inspectors I have had over the years in different parts of the country, Matt is the best. I highly recommend him. He will work really hard for you!!!
