Desert Sparkle Pool Care

They always do a good job.

 have used this pool service for the last 2 1/2 years and for the first 1 1/2 years they were great.  I have noted that the service has been getting pretty lousy, spa not cleaned, skimmer basket floating, etc., doors to services hanging open...  As I am normally not home when they arrive, I decided to STAY home and observe their performance from behind my blinds.  A week ago, the young man who came to service the pool, ran in....did a half-hearted semi brush of parts of the pool sides, never cleaned the skimmer cartridge or checked chemical levels, never cleaned the bottom or spa and was ready to leave in less than 5 minutes!.....He quickly put a note in the drain (without removing the cover to empty debri) and was making a dash for the gate when I came out and said..."hey, you aren't going to clean the basket or bottom or check ph, etc??....."  He said, "no, my boss said I didn't need to do it today cuz of the rain..." (It wasn't raining then at all)...I said..."oh, you mean I shouldn't PAY you today because you didn't do the service?"   He said...."oh, I have some test strips in the truck and I can check it if you want...."  I also said he missed cleaning most of the pool and he went back and did it, but he wouldn't have done it had I not asked him to......
Clearly, he had no intention of doing anything....I mentioned a small leak.....He seemed puzzled.   THIS week, I watched him do the same thing.....The situation was even WORSE because the skimmer basket  from the vacuum was now sunken to the bottom of the pool...full of debris....He didn't do a thing with it.!!...and didn't clean the spa either....It was full of leaves and crud!.  I CALLED Desert sparkle and got no response; only an answering machine saying that they were on another line....They never called back....When Dave and the original service guy were doing the job, everything was over the top good.  However, the last pool guys have been lazy and if they think you aren't there, they do nothing and put the slip in saying they did the job! Since the have done a good job in the past,  I will see how they respond to this and if they bill me for ZIP service.....Right now, I am pretty disappointed and ready to find another service provider.

I like the fact that they are very knowledgeable and professional. They give quick response. In terms of price, they are little higher than the other ones I have had but their quality of service is so much better. I would continue to use their services in the future.

The installation went well. They were prompt and we had no problems.

Always on time. Dispatch is always very friendly and accommodating. Dispatch calls to get approval on all periodic maintenance recommendations. Service technician is thorough and easy to work with.

Overall, the service was mixed. At one of my properties they have done a good job, and they have always been prompt. At the other property they have never done a good job. The company is owned by Pam & Dale, and they have several employees. Pam is always very pleasant on the phone;Dale is not. He is rude and impatient and unfortunately whenever I've a problem with the company, I've dealt with him. I would not recommend this company at all. I feel that a company should appreciate my business, and I have never felt that after dealing with Dale.
