Desert Diamond Plumbing

Honestly, because of the grade he got on AL, I wouldn't have used him, but I went through my home warranty company, so this is what I got. He came out to fix two toilets that wouldn't flush. I also had him take care of an issue with my kitchen sink. That he fixed perfectly, for which I am appreciative. However, upon his departure, I noticed that he had not only *not* fixed the issue with the toilets, but had created a new one, wherein one of them had started to run constantly. I had him come back out two days later to replace the tanks. He did that, but used one of my hand towels to clean up his mess (without asking me...I would've happily given him a rag, not a nice hand towel). Overall, I was more happy that it was over than I was with the service. Nice guy, but I would rather have efficiency than "nice" any day - preferably both.

I've never had a more awful experience with a company than I did with Rick Patton of Desert Diamond Plumbing. What could have been an afternoon's worth of work was split up over three visits because he left for other warranty calls in the middle of my project. I thought it was odd that he would leave me hanging like that to service another customer, but I let it go. When I got the final bill from him (well, not a bill so much - a spreadsheet with literally one line of text in it) he had charged me for 3 separate trips, rush fees because I kept calling him to try to get him to come back and finish the job, and $200 for less than 15 feet of copper pipe. All in all he spent ~10 hours doing basic plumbing and charged me $1500. When I called him out on his pricing he got angry and foul-mouthed, and managed to fit in an insult towards my sister. It was shocking. Do youself a favor and avoid this guy. He's trouble.
