We found D.C. Painting LLC/D.C. Floor Restorations/D.C. Painting and (&) Floor Restorations through a referral from a reliable aquaintance. We weren't moving into the home until the end of June, and hired them to completely paint the home interior. Total project cost including garage was $7343.The interior painting project began May 13th, 2010. David (owner) and Jack (main painter) were a pleasure to work with. We really appreciated the attention to our requests and their professionalism. When David realized we were considering the garage floor in addition to the painting project, and said he could do this...we thought why not, we were very happy with the interior painting. On May 13th,2010 the garage contract was written. On June 2nd,2010 the balance on the garage project was paid. The original epoxy floor in the garage had an area that had peeled and bubbled. They weren't sure what caused it, but assured us it could be taken care of. Jack spent extra time on the scrapping and sanding prep.-It took extra days, but the prep was finally finished. The end product was beautiful. We moved into the home on June 21st. It was a minimum of two weeks after the garage was completed, before we drove on the garage floor (per David's recommendation). ***Our dissatisfaction lies in the quality of the garage floor refinishing, and lack of follow through on the part of the D.C. Painting & Floor Restorations owner to resolve and correct problems that surfaced within 3 months of completion.*** On September 18th, 2010, I emailed David to let him know we noticed the floor was peeling down to the original floor in the original problem area. He responded via email on September 22nd that he could fix it, and would be over the following week. I sent a f/u email on October 11th after not hearing from him. I sent another f/u email on December 29th, 2010, and a final email attempt via their website (dcpainting.vpweb.com) on January 18th, 2011. Between September 2010 and December 2010 I had made several phone calls with messages left twice, and no response. We have since seen additional small peeling here and there on the garage floor in areas that were not in the original "problem" area. The garage cost was $2600 ($300 of that to paint the walls and ceiling). The first bid we had gotten from a garage floor refinishing company was $1000 more for the floor-we wish we had spent the additional $1000. **On this review their quality, responsiveness, and professionalism rating, along with the overall rating, was impacted strictly by the lack of resolve for the garage floor and communication experiences. **We would not recommend this company for garage floor work **
