I don't even know where to begin with this company. Terry Kholer is a complete jerk and a nightmare to deal with. This was a simple job that required little to no skill. They made half a dozen trips to my house before we finally split ways. At that point I was forced to hire another control 4 dealer to finish the job. He stated to me that the owner of this company is a surgeon and bought it for a tax write off. In other words, he's not that interested in making a profit and it shows in the constant revisits, hours of over the phone trouble shooting and terrible customer service. When I asked to speak to the owner, Terry said and quot;good luckand quot;.
To make matters worse, when the new company looked at the invoice for the job cinemagic did they found a 600 dollar overcharge for an item they didn't even install! Terry agreed to refund it but acted as if he was doing me a favor. I would strongly discourage anyone from choosing this company as there are far greater options out there.

I went to Cinemagic to talk to someone to help me decide what I wanted and needed for a new seasonal home for a home stereo system. They were extremely helpful in coming up with a solution that worked for my place in terms of speakers for living room, universal remote and speakers for an outdoor patio. They then installed the equipment when I wasn't there and returned to show me how to use the equipment once I arrived in town. They also will come in and remove the equipment and put it back in when I get an entertainment unit put in. They are very friendly and helpful, great at customer service and very knowledgable.

The service was wonderful. I was willing to wait for him to come out and do the service as he was busy. He did the service which should have been an extra $100.00 for the type of mount I had for the same cost that I had paid for the Big Deal.

Most of their technicians were good, but one was horrible and disconnected our entire home network, and then claimed he didn't (he was the only person who touched it). We asked for a proposal to automate and install a variety of televisions and devices throughout the house, and got a quote back that was so ridiculously high - we could have built a house for the amount.We purchased a 3D TV that was supposed to come with glasses - months later - they have never shown up.The Control4 system stopped working the way it was supposed to, and we just keep getting emails about upgrades that are going to cost us more that the system we purchased. They also sold us multiple controls (IPod, iPad, etc), and charged us for each one individually. We have since found out that we could have purchased a whole house license for as many devices as we desired for less than the individual license costs (which now need to be upgraded).I was told when I called in to talk to the President of the company that he was no longer there and that the company had been sold to a new owner.

"As the COO of the company I was unaware there was any issue at the home. I am saddened to hear that we did not give you the service your desired. As for the individual licences for the Ipod/Ipad, there was no sight licence available when we did this installation, I am sorry for the confusion and issues. I understand that you would not be interested in hiring us again. I am sorry to hear that. I will assure you though that these issues are not normal and the technician that was in charge of your home is no longer with us. I take pride in the fact that the vast majority of our customers come back to us year after year. They also refer there friends. I get very upset when I hear that we did not do all that we could do to make sure a customer is beyond happy. Our motto is to under promise and over deliver. I am sorry that you did not get this service in your home. I would be glad to personally discuss this with you and personally fix any issues you may still have at no cost to you. They were efficient and pro-active in the timing of installation. When any questions arose they were timely in answering as well as problem solving. They were great to work with. We are doing an addition now to the house and they still are helpful when I need any questions answered or re programming.
