We've been very pleased w/using Always Unleashed for daycare. Both our dogs are young and very high-energy and it's great for them to be able to splash around in the pool and also have enough space to run around w/the other dogs. The staff are all dog lovers - that is apparent as our beasts are always excited to arrive! The dogs ususally spend about 8 hours there and are happily tired when they get home (which Mom really appreciates)!

My dogs are treated more like children so I'm very particular about who cares for them. I wouldn't have them locked up in a create all day and night while I was away. I wanted someone that would treat my dogs like I do. I was so happy when I found Karen at Always Unleashed as it was a dream come true! A wonderful lady that loves dogs and let's them run around and play like dogs are meant to!
My female boxer is very protective of me and can be aggressive towards other dogs when I'm around. I did a meet and greet at Karen's to see if she could fit in and within minutes Karen had her under control and playing with other dogs. She's like a dog whisper!
Before Karen I took few holidays because I didn't want to leave my fur kids but once I met Karen I had no hesitation. When she worked out of her home, she even let my girl sleep in her room and on her bed because that's what she's used to at home. I don't know many dog sitters that allow that! Karen was always receptive to taking my calls while I was away to get an update. Also, my dogs are fed raw food and she was so amazing to accommodate that. She even accepted the deliveries to her house so that I didn't have to bring along weeks worth of food when I dropped my girl off. I went from never planning a holiday that didn't involved being able to take my girl to leaving her with Karen for 3 weeks while out of country. Karen is a delightful lady that really cares about dogs and Scottsdale is lucky to have such an amazing new dog resort facility!

I called the owner to inquire about the new facility and the ways in which the facility is operated. During our conversation the owner told me that she was considering using shock collars on the dogs in her care as a means of controlling their behavior. Enough said?

I was so happy with the facility and the care our dog received that even though we live 3.5 hours away, I now schedule my flights out of Phoenix just for the piece of mind in knowing that they do such a good job. I am not fond of the standard kenneling that most facilities use because our dog is such a family oriented animal that she is accustomed to being around both people and other animals at all times. My experience at Always Unleashed truly was amazing!! Not only is the facility clean and beautiful, but it's the closest thing I found to "home" when we have to leave her behind. I like that the facilities (for the larger breeds), are set up to allow the dogs to come in and out of air-conditioned areas as they would at home, while providing quality attention, and activities that encourage exercise as well as entertainment. This business is run out of the owner's home, but I found this comforting because though the dog area's are separate from the living area, it allows the owner/care provider to be all the more attentive to the dog's individual needs at any time day or night. Leaving her here, I no longer worry about her being left and stressed in a kennel (only to be let out 1-3 times a day), or about her not getting enough attention, this is a family run business that genuinely treats your pets like a member of their own family. I absolutely recommend Always Unleashed, and will continue to bring our dog here as long as we live in AZ!!

This place is fantastic. It is located at Karen's home in North Scottsdale, which she has just about dedicated to dogs. She has a huge backyard with some areas that the dogs are only allowed in with supervision, and some other indoor areas with furniture for the dogs to relax on. We spoke with Karen to make sure she had availability, and then drove out to see the place, and make sure our dog would do well there. We liked the place, and our dog seemed to enjoy it too, so we booked with her.

Karen is extremely professional, and is really easy to get a hold of on the phone if needed. We called while we were on vacation to make sure everything was going ok, which of course it was. Our dog was so tired when we picked him up, I know he was playing a lot and having a really good time. I'll be back for day care, or for our next vacation!
