Our nanny was a lovely, hardworking young woman. She was truly sweet. My intuition tells me that she wasn't so experienced with infants as she might have been with other age children but she kept her cool as my daughter proceeded to vomit up her breakfast and off to work I went. My housekeeper reported that she gave my daughter a bath which was odd since I told her only do so if she had some major blowout or something. But that may have been a miscommunication on my end. And my husband was home the entire time, working, and didn't report any issues. Our nanny also cooked dinner for my husband and I which went well beyond our expectations and the meal was scrumptious - what a treat!
We haven't had a need to use this service since but it remains in my contact list and will continue to be our go-to place when we need emergency care. I think the $30 finders fee is high to use on a regular basis, for dinners out and whatnot, but when both parents are working and neither can stay at home with a sick child, $30 is WELL worth it.

We offer 24 visits for only $350! There is an additional $7 charge if the visit is requested after office hours (we have to pay our employees extra to work after hours). A+ Nannies goes above and beyond. They find the right nannies for us. We have found first rate nanny and permanent nanny through A+ nannies. I recommend them highly.

As soon as I called A+ Nannies I really felt like they cared. They listened to me and my concerns about exactly what I was looking for in a babysitter. The process to get us set up with the agency was extremely easy. When Candice, the babysitter, arrived she was on time and very friendly!! I went over everything that my son needs and likes. I was nervous to leave him (as any mom would be!) but Candice had him laughing and playing before we even went out the front door! That really helped me to relax. She text me several times that evening to let me know that he was ok and she even sent me a picture of him eating and smiling!! She really went out of her way to make sure he was ok and happy. I can't say enough good things about Candice and A+Nannies. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!!!

Hillary did such a good job matching the temporary nanny to our family that we ended up pulling our son out of daycare and hiring the nanny full-time. Our nanny has been incredible - and our son went from being sick 15+ days out of the month to only having been sick once in the past year. It was a huge quality of life decision for us.
It should be said that A+ nannies fees aren't cheap - but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for." This is no different than companies that choose to hire a headhunter to find a good resource for a specific position. My wife and I had no idea how to find a qualified, trustworthy person to watch our son. The fact that Hillary has done all the background investigation and reference work on her people makes her service very valuable. Hillary was able to provide a complete background report on our nanny which gave my wife and I a great deal of peace of mind.
In addition - Hillary has provided some support "After the sale." When my wife and I had our second child - it was time to rework the financial agreement with our nanny. Hillary was able to give us some practical advice on how to structure the agreement so it would be fair to our nanny. That was very helpful.

"I love it when families try to hire a temporary nanny and then they end up loving her and they hire her permanently! This actually happens several times a year. I am trying to look into ways to save our clients money right now. We are developing a program for our clients to do a little more leg work on their own (via a computer filtration process) and this will hopefully give clients the savings they are looking for. Hopefully this process will be done by summer! We are going to call it the "express" option - it will be a little more hands on for the families - however, we will still do reference checks and background checks on the candidate!"

I like them. I have a girl who comes to watch the baby when I am having functions with the older girls. I am very particular about who watches my children. So I used their services because they do the background checks. They have 2 kinds of people they can find for you. They can find full time help where you get a permanent placement or they can find date night help. I haven?t used them for the date night help. They have stable baby sitters. After my experience with the girl I use right now I would have no qualms about calling and asking for a nanny for the Saturday night. She really finds quality people. I called her on Monday for a nanny and the next day I had 4 candidates to interview. The following day I had 3 more candidates. So in two days I had 7 candidates. Honestly I could have picked any one of them. I picked my favorite. They were all top notch people. In quick short order I picked one person. I am very pleased with her. She is very professional. They charge $20 for a date night service. They charge $1200 - $1300 for a placement of a full time employee. I had used another service which was considerably cheaper but there was a difference in the experience. I would pay extra couple of hundred dollars to get good service. I am not going to mess around when it comes to my children.

An excellent experience. Hillary was responsive with great follow-through and provided helpful advice during our nanny search. The quality of candidates she referred to us was generally better screened and overall higher-quality than the three other agencies we have also used. The nanny she located for us has done a very good job and has been very serious and professional in her approach to the job with us. The background screening and checks that the agency provided were very thorough. We were particularly impressed that the background check she ran turned up a very old speeding ticket that had not appeared on the check of the nanny's driver's license.

We have used this nanny agency twice. Four years ago, I was disappointed by lack of follow through on the part of an employee and ultimately found a candidate thru another agency. Nonetheless, we attempted to use them again in search of a new full time nanny. Although I was clear about our family situation and constraints, several candidates supplied were obviously inappropriate- i.e. allergic to pets when we have several. I would have anticipated better screening of applicants considering the cost. We did ultimately agree to placement of a candidate who we kept less than a week. As it turns out, she was far less than truthful with us about some major issues like custody of her children, etc. We did not seek to uncover these details, but she spontaneously offered them only for us to figure out she's obviously lied during the interview, which was a huge trust issue for us. Plus, she kept pushing us to pay her under the table without taking out taxes, etc. Although we thought the steep placement fee of $1375 should have been refunded for this, we were refused, but instead given a 1 yr guarantee for a placement. Shortly thereafter we used the agency for a more immediate temp placement for one week while our search was ongoing. In a nutshell, we uncovered irrefutable proof that the temp nanny was using and probably selling prescription pain meds while caring for our child and driving our car. I confronted the owner, Hilary Lockhart, dumbfounded that this could happen. Despite several emails and a personal meeting, she maintains that there was nothing she could have done to screen better and that her lawyer does not permit her to ask about nanny's families or screen temp nannies for drugs as they are not her employees and she is just a 'placement agency'. She offered to again find us someone else. As I indicated to her, she's struck out twice in being able to appropriately exclude obviously undesirable candidates, and we had no intention of giving her a third chance. We asked for our money back so we could pursue another avenue. She maintains she is under no obligation to refund us. I have told her that I understand things happen, but would love to say that at least she did the right thing if we were asked about our experience by friends or colleagues. Again she refused. In my final email to her, I indicated that I know what it means to run a small business, and in these cases the amount of money involved is never worth the amount of ill will generated by keeping it. She remains steadfast, refusing to refund us after 2 disasters I believe she could have reasonably forseen had she been a bit more diligent. Obviously, her 1 year guarantee of finding me a nanny is of little use to us. She also indicates that how families pay their nanny is not her business, but implied that we were in the clear minority because we wanted to salary someone above board. In this sense she helped the first placement fail by creating an expectation of being paid cash.

IN FACT I REFER ALL FAMILIES TO BREEDLOVE AND ASSOCIATES SO THEIR NANNIES CAN BE PAID LEGALLY. I DO NOT DISCUSS WITH THE FAMILIES OR NANNIES THEIR TAX PREFERENCE - TO BE HONEST, I WOULD RATHER NOT KNOW (THIS IS UP TO YOU BOTH TO DECIDE). I CAN INSTRUCT YOU ON THE LEGAL WAY, BUT WHAT THE FAMILY DOES - IS UP TO THEM. I DEFINITELY HAVE NO CONTROL OVER WHAT THE NANNY IS GOING TO ASK FOR - THEY DO NOT TELL ME THIS EITHER (AS FAR AS THEIR PAYMENT PREFERENCES). THE FIRST NANNY WAS AMAZING - SHE STILL WORKS FOR US. SHE DID HOWEVER NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE ABOUT HER REVELING SOME PERSONAL INFORMATION - SEPARATED, BUT STILL WITH HUSBAND (CONSIDERS HERSELF DIVORCED) AND HER PARENTS CLAIM THE KIDS AS DEPENDENTS SO THEY CAN GET INSURANCE (SHE IS A SINGLE MOM). I AM NOT ALLOWED TO ASK ABOUT SOMEONES PERSONAL FAMILY STATUS - THIS IS THE LAW, NOT MY CHOICE (SO, UNFORTUNATELY I COULD NOT HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS). THIS FAMILY WAS NOT UNDERSTANDING OF HER SITUATION AT ALL. THE TEMPORARY NANNY WAS A MESS. ONE THAT I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE. THE FAMILY DID FIND A HUGE PRESCRIPTION OF PAIN MEDS IN THEIR CAR, AS WELL AS SOME CALCULATIONS ON WHAT SHE WOULD MAKE FOR SELLING THESE. WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BY LAW ALLOWED TO ASK IF ANYONE IS ON PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION - I WISH I COULD. I REALLY DO. OUR SERVICE DOES DO BACKGROUND CHECKS ON PERMANENT NANNIES - OUR FEE FOR PERMANENT NANNIES ARE $1375. OUR FEE FOR A TEMPORARY NANNY IS $20 - WE DO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND SEX OFFENDERS CHECK, UNFORTUNATELY THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO DO DRUG TESTING ON ALL TEMPORARY NANNIES. EVEN IF THIS PARTICULAR CANDIDATE HAD DONE THE DRUG TESTING - SHE HAD A PRESCRIPTION FOR THIS MEDICINE, SO WE WOULD NOT EVEN HAVE KNOWN STILL THAT SHE WAS SELLING OR OVERUSING. THIS SITUATION WAS THE WORST SITUATION I HAVE EVER FOUND MYSELF IN. THE REASON THAT I DID NOT REFUND THEIR PLACEMENT FEE IS THE TEMPORARY NANNY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THEIR PERMANENT PLACEMENT - I DID REFUND THEIR TEMPORARY NANNY FEE IMMEDIATELY WHEN I SPOKE WITH THE FAMILY ABOUT THE SITUATION. AGAIN, NANNY 1 WAS AND IS STILL AN AMAZING NANNY. THERE WAS JUST SOME UNCOMFORTABLENESS WITH HER FAMILY (HUSBAND) SITUATION. THERE ARE ONLY 2 COMPANIES IN ARIZONA THAT HAVE EVEN BEEN EXCEPTED INTO THE ALLIANCE OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY AGENCIES AND I TAKE PRIDE IN THIS. I AIM TO PLEASE, PUT CUSTOMERS FIRST, AND TRY TO MAKE EVERY SITUATION A GOOD SITUATION IN THE END. THERE WAS NO WAY TO APPEASE THIS FAMILY AND I UNDERSTAND THIS - IT WAS A HORRIBLE THING THAT HAPPENED. I WAS TRYING TO GET THIS FAMILY TO USE OUR SERVICE AGAIN SO I COULD PROVE OURSELVES TO THEM.
