South Mountain Garage Door Service - Unlicensed Contractor

We hired Kyle last fall to replace the springs in our garage door. He did a good job, and we talked about hiring him to do a complete rehab of the door in the spring. He gave us a quote, and in March we called him to do the work. We set a date (March 23) and he asked for 50% up front to buy materials. He said he would come by and pick up the check on March 17. He didn?t show up when he said he would, and after several texts and phone calls, finally responded that he was tied up on a job (on a Sunday) but would send his best friend?s wife to pick up the check. She came and we gave her the check. Kyle confirmed that he would come to do the work on the following Saturday, March 23. The check for $800 was cashed March 20. We haven?t seen or heard from Kyle since. He didn?t show up to do the work and hasn?t responded to texts, calls or messages. We have given him every opportunity to communicate with us and either refund the money or do the work, but we?ve had no response. We could never recommend Kyle or his company and urge others to avoid doing business with him.

Kyle came out and assessed the problem and provided us options, and their associated costs, to fix the problem. We could decide the remedy based on our financial circumstances. Others came out and told us what they were going to do and at their over-the-top price!

The cost of the parts were literally out of this world. Labor was included and he did a very quick, and thorough job but my oh my the parts were spendy.

Kyle Eubank (Owner) called me immediately on a holiday weekend! I told him it was not an emergency, but he offered to get a babysitter and come straight over regardless. I said no need for that because it was not an emergency. He called me first thing on Monday morning and came straight over and assessed the situation and came right back today/the next day and repaired everything perfectly at a third of the cost that the other three companies we received estimates from quoted us plus with a 10 year warranty! He is super friendly and very professional, and quite honorable! I would highly recommend him to anyone who has any garage door issues.

Kyle was extremely friendly and punctual. Just wished the spring system didnâ t cost me so much but he did say it comes with a 7 year warranty which we liked. If the cost of the parts werenâ t so dang high I feel he deserved a 5 star overall rating, but given the parts were up to $970 for the torsion conversion kit and the springs. He was fast and efficient.

Kyle responded to our emergency within hours of our telephone call. He was professional and very personable. He explained everything. If there was a higher rating than 5 stars I would have given it.

Kyle was responsive, professional, on time and proficient in his work. No upsell pressure but did explain some future problems Iâ ll likely be facing. I will definitely call him if/when I have any garage door issues in the future. Its rare to see such good customer service.
