 + -1 moreI'm extremely pleased with the way it turned out. In all, it required only 30 calendar days to complete the project! We are very pleased that costs were kept under control even though we made design changes mid-way through the project. Parker Construction transformed our living room / sun room area from something less that noteworthy into something stunningly beautiful. If you saw it, I think that you would agree.
Description of Work: Removed Fireplace. Framed and patched the roof where the chimney had been. Removed false ceiling behind former fireplace/chimney. Strengthened ceiling support beam in sun room. Installed header beam for proper support of ceiling above former fireplace. Removed extraneous fireplace wall (no longer needed with header beam). Added framing for new drywall behind former fireplace (achieving a vaulted ceiling in that area). Subcontracted the installation of electrical boxes for light fixtures within the scope of the project and in the living room. Installed insulation on ceiling behind former fireplace. Drywalled ceiling and walls in area behind former fireplace. Subcontracted plastering/taping/texturing new drywall areas. Built new sub-floor behind former fireplace. Subcontracted installation of hardwood flooring to match existing flooring. Painted all affected areas to match existing paint scheme.
