Joe had done a travertine fireplace job for us in another home we owned so we were quite familiar with the quality of his work. He stays personally involved in the work, does not have a bunch of work crews or others so he is able to maintain the high quality standards we like. He did not double book himself on jobs so we had his full attention from beginning to end. We collaborated with Joe on the design work and in several cases took his recommendations for various shower surround layouts and floor designs. He was careful with not making huge messes during demolition, construction and clean up. His subcontractor did a beautiful job on our slab marble countertops and floor trim sections, and Joe did a great job leveling a very big continuous surface extending from the kitchen all the way back to the Master bedroom and Master bath. We remain extremely pleased with the work.

Because of the disruption, we did not attempt to live in the home for the duration of this project. We had used Joe Bendel and trusted his work based on a custom fireplace he built for us in another home. The project lasted a little longer than planned, but we could see that Joe was being meticulous with his installation and he stayed with his original cost estimate in spite of the time overrun. Joe did much of the design work himself and was personnally involved in all phases of the project to insure that it was done at very high quality. We are very happy with the end result and would gladly use Tile Designs in the future.
