Initial contract stated it would be a 3 week job. After 3 months the job was not completed. It was a series of mistakes and poor workmanship throughout the project and I finally fired them before completion. The workers were EXTREMELY slow, taking 2-3 hour lunch breaks and getting very little done in a day. They left their garbage in my yard every day, including half-eaten sandwiches, food wrappers, soda cans and cigarette butts. There is still dried concrete on the existing flagstone pavers and redguard spilled on the concrete. The front fountain has a spool pump that is so loud I can't have anyone in the front bedrooms, which is why I wanted the fountain in the first place. The final straw was when they delivered the natural rock fountain. They installed a large boulder while I was home. When I went out to look at it, it had been broken in several places and cemented back together! I was shocked that they would actually install a broken boulder! I told them it was unacceptable and they spent several weeks looking for another boulder. I finally had them remove the broken boulder and ended the contract. I never had any plants installed. For $50,000 it was a disappointment. On the plus side, Stacey is a very nice woman and quickly responded to all my calls. She rendered a professional drawing that incorporated all of my requests. I think that iit is clearly the workers who are the problem and they need more supervision.

I thought they did a really good job and the price. They gave me an estimate for it.

We built a new Toll Bros home in Cave Creek, taking possession 6/269/10. We had two landscaping options: use one of the builder’s approved landscapers [Creative Environments or Sonoran Design], which was the only way to have it done prior to close, or choose someone else and have it done after close. Job included 8000 sq feet full landscaping to HOA requirements [plants, trees, granite, boulders], accent lighting, 6 foot BBQ island, raised block vegetable garden, annual bed, and ponies for front gate. The estimates for the two builder approved firms was well over $20,000, so we looked elsewhere. Everyone else on Angie’s List told us up front the job was too small or indicated very high prices as well, so we decided to look for our own. A trusted friend recommended Republic – they had done work for a neighbor of theirs. We talked to two others as well, but David Serwit impressed us from the start. He was professional, very easy to work with and they did a great job, on time and with no surprises. His price was well below all others.
