Because frogs require fresh water for survival, they can die from repeated exposure to swimming pool chemicals. Chlorine dehydrates frogs, which can lead to their deaths. Infinity pools do require slightly more maintenance than other pools because you’ll need to constantly monitor the water level. If the water level is out of whack, it won’t correctly flow over the edge, which gives the pool its infinity look.

After the shock treatment, add algaecide to prevent algae from growing back, and test the water every few days with test strips to ensure the pool’s pH doesn’t get out of whack.

If your pool takes longer than one or two days to fill, you might be dealing with low water pressure. Using a water pressure gauge on your outdoor tap, you can check your water pressure. A reading of 40 psi or below is considered low. A leak, a nearby water shutoff, or several other reasons could cause this. 

If the water pressure isn’t a problem, you could have a low flow rate from clogs, corroded pipes, or other plumbing issues. It’s best to call in a local plumber to get to the root of the issue.

It takes more electricity to run one, so it’s not necessarily cheaper to run a salt water pool. However, the cost difference is relatively minor; it may cost an extra $50 over the course of a year. However, salt costs a lot less than chlorine sanitizers. This lowers the overall maintenance costs for a salt water pool compared to chlorine pools.
