Hair Salons/Barbers
horrible. I have a lot of blond weaving and when I told her that she just couldn't apply the base color as it would drab out the blond, of course she knew better. I've only had my hair all my life and have been coloring it for 30 years plus. Then she wanted to use a razor on my fine thin hair. I said no as the next morning it would be standing out all over the place. She made a reference that she wished I had let her use the razor as you could see every scissor mark in the back. She never gave me a mirror to see the back and 4 days later, when I looked at it, I almost died. It was chopped up and there was a big blob of blond at the bottom where there had been no weaving. Finally, someone suggested I call the shop and speak to the owner, which I did. She has never called me back. Debra was the most expensive shop either in Prescott or in Sherman Oaks, where I had gone for years before moving here.

Hair Salons/Barbers
I have been to this salon for two appts to date. I have the type of hair that is fine and draws alot of warm tones ie orange! In the past when I lived in Phnx I had a colorist named Stella that knew exactly how to get my hair a natural medium blonde without all the brassiness. I came to this salon hoping that Stephanie could do the same. I gave her two shots at it and this last time, it was worse than the first time when I had to go back and have her add a toner to it. She just does not know what she is doing! I dont think she hears what I am saying either! I told her over and over again that my hair draws brassy orange if the correct color isnt used to offset it! I trusted her to do better than the last appt and she didnt. I am the one who has to walk around town looking like I dyed my hair from a box. Trust me,it looks no better. It is much lighter than I like and it is strawberry blond verging on albino blond color! I was extremely stressed the minute I saw it wet in the mirror. But yet,she cops an attitude with me!! You know, when this happens it is the client who is the MOST stressed out and the client should not be made to feel as if she is acting unreasonably. To try and remedy the disaster Stephanie added foils to the top section to cut the orange. The more time clicked off with these things in my hair the more I worried. Ive never had my hair twice processed in a day. I had already lost trust with her so I was even more stressed. All the while I was concerned about her being upset because I was hoping we could save the stylist/client relationship while going through this crisis. She started acting very curt and rude towards me. It appeared that she had just disconnected and just wanted me gone. All throughout this scenario she would disappear and gossip(I am assuming this but I could FEEL IT) in the back. Not once did I have another colorist come over and help but yet she said they were offering advice in the back! Had I known that more than herself was thinking on this I may have been a bit more relaxed. I guess she was saving face but I think that is down right PRIDE. She made me feel as if I had done something wrong! It cost me with tip(15%) 165 bucks the last time so I wanted her to get it right this time! I dont think that is asking too much is it? The second time out of the sink it was still very orangy looking and of course still too light. I had her take the foils out before she wanted to.I was getting anxiety really bad over this. Stephanie then rinsed me out with really warm water( she didnt bother to ask if it was too warm and quite frankly she never has to be honest). So she rinsed me with water at an uncomfortable temp and she was rougher with my hair than usual. I decided that Id blow dry my hair because she was being ROUGH. She informed me that its illegal to let a client blow dry her hair! Well I suppose all the hairdressers I have had in the past were breaking the law because they all allowed me to dry my own hair and also curl my hair if I so chose. It awfully convenient to fall back on "the law" when all isnt going well and her hands werent greased properly. Even at this point I still tried to salvage the relationship .She was indignant and rude!! She asked me to leave. I asked her if that was what she really wanted ie burn a bridge. She said she wasnt going to charge me and that she would not making any money off of this. I had no intention of getting a freebie! I just wanted it to be right! Her rudeness and her mention of her lack of pay were clearly uncalled for! Should I be feeling compassion for a gal who would have the gall to mention her lack of money after I put up with attitude and ineptness. I have had other hair stylist in the past who did get my hair the right color so I know for a fact that I wasnt asking for something that wasnt possible. She simply does not have the skills to know what she is doing with color! If Stephanie had just messed up I may have felt less stressed than I did but her haughty attitude towards me for telling the truth was deplorable. Its a pretty good indication that the color isnt right when the stylist leaves you at the sink adding this and adding that to get it right. It never happened. When I first called this salon, I asked for a mature stylist with color expertise. I was assured Stephanie was the gal. Stephanie is the one who most likely has more time because she cannot hang on to her clients! To summarize: The color was all wrong and her attitude made it even worse. She played the victim and I was somehow the villain. Im glad I didnt pay for services not rendered! That was the only thing she did right. I am thankful I saw who she really is. Its a good indication of a persons true character when they are in a crisis . That is when the true Stephanie appeared!

Karen is a talented hair stylist. Always on time, if running behind they call you. I am a retired hair stylist, not easy to please.(lol).
A picture is like a thousand words, she can't see what you have in your mind. The hardest part of doing hair cuts is trying to figure out
what you want. Karen will give a out standing hair cut . I have been going to Hair Station 105 for a year . My husband is very comfertable going to this salon..

First I would like to start off by stating Mrs. Kellogg was FANTASTIC! She is very busy so you will need to give her advance notice and make sure to check with her on pricing because I spoke with the front desk, twice, and the price still ended up much higher than expected. I have hair anxiety and this is the best stylist I have had since moving to Arizona! She listened to what I had pictured in my mind, looked at the photo I had and worked with me to make sure my hair would turn out as I hoped. She keeps the conversation going and seems very down to earth. She takes her time and makes sure you are completely happy with the look before leaving without any feeling of being rushed which is rare to find. It was a wonderful experience. Make sure if you park on the street to keep track of the time or you will end up with an even more expensive day after a parking ticket haha. Over all it was still a great albeit expensive day!

I have been going there for the past 6 months. A haircut is $40.00 and the service is 5 stars. I will absolutely use this salon in the future.
