All offered service done in a unique and business like setting. Each of our stylists/hair color specialist, has extensive education. Our salon offers three private suites and two lovely open spaces. This adds a relaxed atmosphere for you the valued client, while making it easier for you to share your personality in a way that will get you the custom hair color/personalized hair design and facial waxing, as well as permanent hair straightening, that you may be having a difficult time expressing in a more hectic rushed situation. We are also available for special occasion hair such as weddings and prom. Our clientele includes men, women, and happy, well rested children.Consultations are welcome and complementary.Our Salon has six Stylist to meet your needs. Katelynn is just fabulous! She understood how distraught I was that my hair was so messed up at another " highly rated salon" in the area. Katelynn was empathetic and also very thorough. Katelynn first did a very thorough consult so that she knew exactly what I wanted my hair to look like. We looked at pictures of various blond hair colors and also she showed me the hair color charts to come to a conclusion of where I wanted my hair and what she was going to do to get there! Several steps had to be followed to get the result I desired. .She explained everything before she started to work her miracles! She nailed it! Katelynn spent 5 hrs with me to achieve success. My stress melted away and I was relaxed knowing I was in good hands. I went from a washed out hair disaster to a fabulous natural blond. I really could not be happier. Katelynn has most assuredly earned my trust and my business! Katelynn is a very talented hair colorist. You cannot go wrong with a conscientious, kind ,knowledgeable professional > Katelynn. You will leave feeling absolutely beautiful and confident that your hair looks its very best. Katelynn also styled my hair just the way I like it with lots of loose curls.

It was over a week from when I called to when I could get an appt. I was the last client of the day and it was a good thing as it took quite some time to just fix the color. (my hair was a mess!!) Elizabeth was very patient and took the time that was needed to do all that was necessary in correcting my color -passed closing! I am going back because there is still some color and cut tweaking that we both expected. would need to be done. She is quite versed in color and cut and can figure out, if it's possible, what combinations of colors are needed to get you what you want. The shop itself is nice, clean and used and sells good products - most with natural ingredients (which I like as I use organic/natural products on my hair at home). I would suggest telling Elizabeth what type of hair cut you want as some of the other stylists sort of specialize in certain styles - geometric cuts etc. - and they might not be as booked.

Excellent appointment! Fit me in within for appointment within 2 days of call. Listened to my concerns, looked at my current cut, made suggestions and went right to work. Very professional. Best haircut I've had since moving to Prescott 2 years ago! I've already booked my next appointment. When I washed and styled my hair myself this morning, it still looked great.
There was a previous review that was negative that I saw before making my appointment, however every other review was glowing, so I went with my gut and decided to go ahead and book an appointment, am I glad I did!

I had just moved to Prescott and did not have a hairdresser here. I found this hair salon online and because of the good reviews decided to make an appointment to get my hair cut. I had a very good experience at the Essence Hair Salon. I think my hairdresser really took the time to ask me questions and find out exactly what I wanted. I would definitely go back again. I was very pleased with my haircut because she really listened. So many times in the past, I have gone to salons where the people want to do it their way and didn't really care about pleasing the client (me). At this salon, I really felt it was about making sure I was happy when I walked out the door---and I was.

I had just moved to Prescott and found the salon by looking at reviews on Angie's List and Yelp. Elizabeth met me the week before for a consultation. I explained the issue I had had with previous salons of cutting my hair too short on the sides. Elizabeth took time to help me select the desired highlight color for the low-lights and highlights. She was meticulous in applying the color which was just the perfect shade. After the highlight she carefully washed and massaged my scalp, which was very relaxing. The cut was perfect and is probably the best cut I have ever had...and it is not too short on the sides. My hair looks and feels wonderful. I can't praise Elizabeth enough for the excellent job!

My hair is a natural mess with a dull color. Teri McKay first put a deep color that brought out new life and a wonderful new cut that compliments my round face. I absolutely love it! In between color and cut she gave me a manicure - very relaxing and I now have beautiful French nails to go with my new color and style!
