CompuTime

Okay, I decided to go ahead and ordered the hard drive and they ordered wrong parts and the situation is that, then it took them six weeks to get it, to get the part without communication with me. So to summarize; communications were poor time wise, getting it repaired was slow and all along they were trying to sell me a new PC. I'm not saying that's what I ended up getting, but it was because of the communication, the way they were communicating; poor communications. So I would rate them as a 'C' you know, if I was going to rate them okay? I'm not gonna go back. All I cared about was, I wanted communications.They actually did not charge me anything, for anything on it but I also didn't get it fixed and I was put out of a computer, which I were in my business on a computer, and I was without a computer for six weeks. Then naturally I took it over to the West Ridge guy, they evaluated the next day, than they gave me the pros and cons probably I don't need to go into that, they actually told me what part 'Compu Time' should have ordered, and they got it done within a week and a half. And whatever thing there was in communication with the supplier, and the situation it was they immediately told me about that and we got it corrected. And so, I got computer made in a month and a week and a half so. You see, Compu Time is very effective they've got a lot of people working for them, they have got a lot of salespeople and things like that, but communication was the problem. Time on service was a problem and then I still didn't get it fixed at the end.

It took about two days. They managed to save all of my user data and reloaded windows and a few other apps. I only had to re-download about three apps to get back to where I was before the failure.

UPDATE: The hard disk they installed failed about six months later. It was still under warranty but unfortunately we were in Mexico for an extended stay and could not wait to have CompuTime fix or replace it so we had a new one installed in Mexico. When we returned I took the disk that CompuTime installed back to them and pointed out that it was a "Recertified" unit, something they neglected to tell me at the time they installed it. They tested the drive and told me they could not find anything wrong with it, which conflicts with what the Canadian technician in Mexico told me. As yet, I have not had the opportunity to have a third party test the drive. I am sure CompuTime would have replaced or repaired the drive had we been in the States at the time it failed. I only add this as a caution to make sure you know what type of drive you are getting--recertified, or fresh off the line.
