We have never been to their location. They come out and deal with the cable. When we first moved into this house the cable was very unstable for about the first year after we moved here. They've gotten a lot better, they doubled the speeds, and the service. They increased the speed in September and we rarely lose service.

The service doesn't work very good. We never get up to 50 mbps down. if we're lucky, for an hour or so, we'll get about 15-20 and then it will shoot down to 6 and then stop working. Mostly stays around 5-8 down. The phone is always choppy. When we use the phone it is a choppy conversation and you can't really hear it very well or the other person can't hear you very well. We've had about 3 different techs come out and troubleshoot. All three say the same thing that the company is trying to upgrade their system in our area. They've been saying that for about a year now and it hasn't gotten better.
Description of Work: The installation was not the greatest. The technician took advantage of my wife who didn't know what to ask about. He did the minimum work he could do. As far as the actual phone and internet, it is spotty every day.

The customer service representative who came to our office was very friendly and knowledgeable. He helped make sure our upgraded DSL modem was connected and working, even though he was only here to install the phones.

Because my apartment already had cable service through my senior living facility the local Prescott office had to take care of establishing local internet service. My initial contact with the local office was not very good. The representative told me about a 2 gig plan and a 3 gig plan ... this didn't sound right to me so I decided to visit the local office in person. Sure enough the plans were 2 HUNDRED gig and 3 HUNDRED gig. I then went to Best Buy, purchased the appropriate modem, got home and then called Cable One to get installation assistance. Although I had a local phone number I was connected with the central office and had to be transferred to Prescott ... shortly into the call we were disconnected and the representative hadn't gotten my phone number so he couldn't call me back - although he HAD given me his name. I called back, was again transferred to the local office and asked for the representative by name. Initially the person who answered claimed that no one by that name worked at the Prescott Office ... when she finally established that indeed such a person existed (by looking at my account) she told me he was on the phone and would have to call me back shortly. After 45 minutes I called back AGAIN, AGAIN had to be transferred and reached yet ANOTHER representative. She was VERY helpful and got my account set up and walked me through the installation. There was a computer problem and she transferred me to a man in tech services. He was VERY helpful and took care of the problem and in the process took care of registering me as well, It's unfortunate that I had such trouble getting connected with the last two representatives in the first place because THEY were VERY GOOD and my ratings would be all A's if I hadn't had to deal with the other staff in order to reach them. My advice to others dealing with Cable One is if you have difficulty with a representative ask to speak with another representative. I am VERY happy with my cable internet service. I previously lived in a rural area and was limited to Verizon Jet Pack service which had limited data and was much slower than Cable One service.
Description of Work: Cable One established Internet Service for me in my apartment at a Senior Living Facility that already provides free cable service to my apartment. Note that I had no choices about Internet Service - I can't have a Dish on the deck of my apartment and none of the telephone services provide internet service to my building.

Arrived on time, service person knew what they were doing. Explained everything.
Description of Work: Cable was hooked up to house for internet, phone, and TV. Salesperson was great and gave us free first month service plus additional channels for a month for no charge so we could watch the Olympics. Would highly recommend this company. No problems with service.

We have some trouble with the cable especially the TV channels it's pretty frequent. Sometimes we're watching TV, and then suddenly it freezes and then locks up and then unlocks and then locks up again, It happens too often. And for a time the telephone line goes down or sometimes the Internet lines go down. And we've never experienced that in other places that we've lived, so I would say they're not really terrible but they're not great also.
Description of Work: They are our cable, phone and Internet provider. Also our long distance service call is free and most of our calls are long distance because of our location.
