I was devastated by the service I had with Yavapai Plumbing and Heating. I'm a teacher, so I have very limited funds. I'm a single mom, and I don't know a lot about furnaces. My heating in the winter and now air conditioning in the summer was not working. I called the company, because a really nice man had helped me out about two years ago. I just wanted to check on rates and a man named Trevor said he would be over the next day. He assured me he would give me a quote before doing anything or charging anything. I made that clear, because I have been taken advantage of in the past. He stayed a maximum of 15 minutes, changed the batteries on my furnace wall unit because unbeknownst to me, that was the only problem. My furnace was working fine. He told me I owed him $240, but if I paid him $150, he would give me a deal and sign me up for some kind of annual package with his company. I wondered how he could charge me so much for just putting in 2 AAA batteries. I asked him who the manager or owner of the company was, but he refused to give me that information. He was rude and disrespectful. He stormed out angrily and told me that I would never be able to get service from his company again. I almost never write negative reviews for companies. This is the exception. If you are a man or married, then you might not have to worry about being taken advantage of, but if you're a female or a single mom, please beware of this company.

It was an excellent service.

They were prompt in sending serviceman out that day. He was professional and found problem quickly. Needed a new control board which he picked up at local supplier, returned & installed new board, charging us $1275.00. We called the supplier to question the cost of the part(all info was on our invoice). The part cost $155.75. We were charged $1180.00 for that part!! We contacted Yavapai Plumbing only to get nowhere! We feel very "ripped off" which is so common with AC companies. Was hoping to avoid this kind of business with Angie's list!! Don't trust this company!!

Install was top notch, no changes to the bid proposal or cost during installation. Won't know how good the A/C will be till next summer, and the heating season has yet to start. So will find out about performance of the system later, but I have no reason to believe it will be sub-par.

I basically asked for toilet running repair and new toilet. Prices quoted were not what they turned out to be. Was told to purchase my own toilet and they would install (after a new visit and corresponding service call charge). Was told it would only take an hour or so, then when he got around to it, was told it would take far longer. I was on a time budget and told him not to do it after all. Ended up having to take toilet back to store. Back to square one!

Excellent! These guys were on time and professional for both the estimate as well as day of work. They were both personable to my families level of satisfaction. I practice Real Estate and am an Educator. Customer Service is very important to me and to anyone in the Service Industry. Sunny and Rikk were both able to answer all of my questions every step of the way. I will recommend them and Yavapai Plumbing and Heating to anyone asking for a referral. When you call to request service the phone call handling is even top notch. This is such a rare thing to find, but Yavapai Plumbing and Heating nailed it perfectly.

I had previously researched the prices of sewage lift pumps, so I thought  I was prepared for the cost to replace it.  However, the price I was originally quoted, $1,500.00, was more than 3.5 times the LIST price of the exact same pump ($349.00) I could buy at Lowe's or Home Depot.  I expected an hour of labor at $95.00 per hour plus a reasonable markup.  I called the owner/manager and he tried to explain why the 3.5 times markup.  I was still not happy and contacted Yavapai County Contractors Association.  They too thought the markup was a bit high.

As I was stuck between the proverbial "rock and a hard place", I managed to negotiate the price down to the $1,080.00.

I will look for alternative plumbers in the future.

Master shower drain was BADLY clogged.  Called after 7 pm and got a message stating someone would call back within 15 minutes.  Approximately 10 minutes later tech called and said he would send Frank out. Within 45 minutes Frank was here unclogging drain. Done within an hour and out the door. All for 75.00 and after hours?  How can you beat that?  Seriously!  I trust this company as they've never let me down. APS recommended them to me when I wanted someone to perform maintenance on my AC/Heating Unit. That was 11 years ago and I'm still a happy customer.

We've used Yavapai Plumbing and Heating for our a/c service, heating
service, water heater installation and plumbing services for about 10
years.The ladies in the office are diligent and set us up for appts
right away.  Billy is our tech for heating and a/c and quite frankly we
don't know what we'll do when he retires!  He is honest and never pushes
anything. He tells us what the issue is (if there is one) and we go
from there. He comes out twice a year to service both units for the
season. Needless to say we highly recommend Yavapai Plumbing and
Heating.

Yavapai Plumbing and Heating LLC are very punctual and professional. When they make an appointment, they show up on time or even earlier than the appointment. They keep in contact with you and keep you informed. They give you a lot of personal attention. You can call them anytime or any day. If you call them out on a Sunday, there's never an extra charge or anything. We're a small city so we get a lot of personal care.

The service was great. They were on time, and they did the job correctly.

Billy was very efficient and really seemed to know what he was doing.

Called company management and they did not believe my claim.

Very professional service and liked the service man.

For after hours emergency they were great in responsiveness and pricing. Which is the hook. then they soak you for the repairs.
I was told to change to 25ft of pexpipe would be 2 person all day and was quoted $500, which appeared reasonable.
The repair actually was done with 1 person and was in and out in under 1 hr, which with materials. the cost should have been 1/4 or 1/2 the quoted amount..
When called to complain, the manager said it was a flat rate and they were not going to change it.
Their own employee is the one who raised the question on the price when he called to get what he was to charge.
I would never use these folks again and from speaking with others in the industry, they have a reputation for doing just this.
Would recommend removing them from this list.

Discovered water heater was leaking on 12/12/13 and called for evaluation. Plumber (Bob)arrived within an hour and found the tank about to rupture. Turned off water and drained the tank immediately. Came out the next day with new, energy efficient tank and installed it along with new pipes and venting. Also fixed our hot water recirculator and readjusted water pressure.

Job performed very timely, effectively and professionally.

We had to call out an HVAC guy after our heat pump/air conditioner
started leaking all over our floors tonight. We chose Yavapai Plumbing
and Heating after searching for an HVAC company on Angie's List.
We called after-hours, about 7pm, and got connected to their emergency
line, which is a message line that says someone will call back within 15
minutes.
They called back within just a few minutes. We explained the situation,
and they told us someone would be out in about 45 minutes.
After about 35 minutes, Tracy from Yavapai Plumbing and Heating was knocking on our door (yay!).
Tracy only needed about an hour or so to fix the problem for us and
stop the leaking! He was very efficient, knowledgeable and very
personable as well.
Then came time to pay the bill (HVAC guy after hours!...YUCK!). When he
told us the charge was only $121, I was as pleased as punch. An
after-hours call and about an hour of time for only $121!

professional company to do business with. And thanks for hiring people
