The installer came to install the hardwood flooring. He stated he had never installed this type of floor. He called the office and the told him to do the best he could. He did not have the correct tools to install the flooring or the knowledge to do the job. About 300 discrepancies were noted in the floor installation from 3/32 to 1/8 inch gaps. He took a week to do a 3 day job. The installation was so bad they had to remove the newly installed floor and replace it with a new floor. The corrections and replacement required 5 pairs of installers. The same installer installed the tile flooring and had to come back 4 times to make the job satisfactory. The toilets in the bath rooms had to be removed to install the tile. When the toilets were reinstalled they were installed 1" out of square. A different installer was sent out to correct the toilets and make the installation of the tile satisfactory. The carpet installation was almost as bad. They used 4" of tack strip to make the installation at the doorways. 4 trips and 3 different installers to make the carpet installation acceptable. The job was started in August and completed in May. Only took 7 months and 7 different sets of installers to complete the job. A job that was only going to take 7 days. We were told some of the material to be installed on the replacement floor was no longer available. I called the factory and was told the material was available from stock with 7-day deliver. This was a direct lie to save money when they reinstalled the hardwood floor. The wrong material was ordered. It took so long to do the job and we had so many installers come in and out of the house they had to have carpet cleaned in May when they finally completed the job. This is just a brief description of the problems and lies we were told. To list all the problems I would have to write a book.
