Property Appraisal
Wells Fargo assigned this appraiser for us when we requested to have the PMI (mortgage insurance) removed.
He was 30 minutes late, but when he arrived I saw that he was going digital with an iPad mini to complete his task. He was behind while trying to get up to speed with his new tools. Provider was pleasant and communicative upon meeting him and his helper. They were efficient and professional.
When I got the initial report, the appraised amount was what I expected, but there were significant errors in the report. The spelling of my last name, plus the foundation selection of our house were wrong. There were other small details I was confused about.
When I contacted Wells Fargo, the level one operator didn't seem to care about my concerns. I then called the appraiser directly and he was responsive. He said he would call Wells Fargo after resubmitting with the correct spelling and the other main corrections.
Next PDF came in and still had 19 misspellings. I sent the PDF back to him to get fixed.
Overall we were happy with this appraiser. He's very knowledgeable and would use him again. Just couldn't give top marks for the lack of attention to detail.
