My only complaint is I am not sure what all he did. I never received an invoice or any paper stating roof conditionWe did talk on the phone and he said he caulked a crack on the roof. My tenant keeps asking me if the roofer told me about the problems other than the crack, he also metioned insulation coming through the wall inside the house.

They are very responsive, do great work and have good employees. I would highly recommend them.

An employee...J.D. showed up...as I said..without a ladder. I had one and he climbed up on my roof and pretty much told me I needed a totally new roof and he went on to say he would handle everything and bill my insurance, aerial photos and the whole deal. He didn't do any repair at all. I was not at all comfortable with J.D. so next day called the owner who came right out....told me I did not need a whole new roof and told me what I needed. I liked the owner but would not hire for repairs as J.D. would be doing the job. He seemed to me to be hustling the insurance companies and did not have my best interest in mind. Very full of himself.

The service for the big deal from Burt Harper's Custom Design was great. They did a great job. They were very helpful. They worked with the insurance company and did a good quality job. They are very professional and very knowledgeable. I am actually going to use them for some other work as well. The insurance company paid for it. They worked with the insurance company for the price. They worked that deal for me. In fact I am going to use them. They do all forms of construction work and things. I am going to use them again this year.

I contacted Burt and JD on Sat. Jan 17th. JD was unable to come out and check our roof, he was booked for the day. Burt was willing to come out on Sunday but I didn't want to take his only day off. It wasn't raining and therefore I didn't feel it was that critical. Burt said he would come out Monday afternoon, after 3pm. My husband stayed home Monday. He never showed on Monday. I never recieved a call. My husband stayed home on Tuesday. Never called nor showed. Wednesday morning I called him. Basically his response was "oh, I thought someone called you". He did not seem the least bit apologetic. In my opinion, if you own and run the company, maybe you should do a bit more than "THINK" someone called. Maybe you should 'KNOW'.

Eluded to dishonest dealings with the insurance company to get it paid for.

We interfaced with J.D. From first contact with this company we felt comfortable. Despite a few postponements of the repair job because of rain (difficult to repair a roof when it is raining), when a good weather report emerged J.D. was on the spot. He explained what was necessary, he gave us a time the crew would arrive and the materials that would be needed. Crew arrived on schedule and didn't depart until the job was complete. It took most of the day. It is impossible to know how the repair sustains bad weather until we have some, however we are confident, based on J.D's knowledge and professionalism, character and guarantee, that should the roof require further attention (repaired area) he will fix it without charge. We are eager to recommend this company to our friends.

Burt Harper's service was excellent. The workers were all polite and worked hard to complete our work in a timely way. They were careful when entering our home and kept us informed. I would comfortably suggest their service to others. Our roof looks beautiful.

When we submitted a review yesterday we were unaware of a medical emergency that had occurred with Burt Harper's Custom Design. We have now been contacted by them and we will submit a new review when the work is completed by this company.

Great, very efficient. I Highly recommend.

He was very nice and he gave me an estimate. He wanted to do more and charge a little more, but that wasn’t for me.

Burt Harpers Custom Design is the best. !! They are the most professional folks and yet they had such a good ole boy feeling about them. Very trustworthy people. J. D. is the foreman and he was the tops....he communicated step by step of what they were doing. They did run across some rotted wood on my roof area. Called me at work immediately and told me what they encountered and how much it would cost to replace the wood. Also coverd my gutters with screens to keep the leaves etc out at a most fair price. Plus they left me with a good amount of asphalt shingles for future if I should ever need them...the same batch so it would match my new roof. And when they were completed they did a final walk thru with me to make sure all was in good standing. And if I had any questions along the way they responded immediatley. I have a beautiful roof. I am most happy with this company and the folks who are a part of it. I have recommended them to friends, neighbors and folks I work with. They are the tops !!!

Burt Harper worked directly with our insurance company (The Hartford, a great insurance company) to get full reimbursement for all the damage. His crew did a great job and they were very careful with our home and property. There were a number of homes in our neighborhood with roof damage due to the hail storm. The difference between the job Burt's crew did on our house and the job done be other roofers on other homes in the neighborhood is like night and day. They used the best products and did an outstanding job. The roof looks better than new. Burt is a general contractor and he brought in great subcontractors to install the new air conditioner and do the painting.

JD Harper, Burt's son, is a Marine (once a Marine, always a Marine). JD runs a crew that is tight, organized and efficient. They were respectful, and kept the work area clean. When they left in the evening, tools were organized and out of the way, neat and orderly. They were dodging the Monsoons, and kept us dry in spite of the active rain patterns this year. The overall experience was fabulous. The guys were great. We never had to worry about anything because the level of professionalism left us confident the job was being done with the utmost care and attention to quality.

I am not sure what he did, but I do know he took off the shingles, and he might have taken off the plywood too; they probably take off the plywood if it is necessary and replace it if it is damaged and leave those alone that are okay. He was very good and very knowledgeable. The roof was excellent. My husband was very satisfied. His responsiveness was good, but he was having other problems, which had nothing to do with the work though; however, he was attentive. He came when he said he would.
