The walls were suppose to be 16and quot; on center, however there were a few that were spaced farther apart next to the door. For those I had to install additional studs. I also had to tighten down a few of the concrete anchors because they were very loose. The crew didn't do a very good job of cleaning up their mess because they left a number of shingle scraps laying around.
The shed turned out great. It's very high quality, very secure, very attractive and very sturdy. It's sometimes used as a 'cabin' for camping, and it will last us a long, long time. The price was fairly affordable, compared to other solutions, but is still quite a chunk of change to drop on a 'shed'. In our case, we had little option, given the type of structure we wanted, the remoteness of our land, and the inability to truck in a pre-built unit without cutting down additional trees. It's pretty cool that Tuff Shed can transport everything needed for your shed on a small trailer and build the unit on-site. It even came pre-painted (though the guys also had secondary touch-up paint, which they left with us).
The purchasing process was simple, and there were plenty of examples at the Tuff Shed location we visited. The only complaint that I'll state is that Tuff Shed will want to charge you $75 for 'generator rental' if you do not have power at the location where you want your shed built. This wasn't communicated to me up front, probably because they didn't ask if I had power at my location. Luckily I saw something about this online prior to construction, and I proactively called and asked, or the construction might not have happened at all due to lack of power. I ended up buying a generator for not much more than twice the $75 Tuff Shed wanted to charge me for a rental. Given the price of the unit, it still surprises me a little that Tuff Shed wouldn't just charge customers the cost of the gas for the generator, and a small hourly fee for its use, if anything at all. It should be considered a cost of doing business.
At the end of the day, my wife and I are very satisfied with our shed, and would recommend Tuff Shed to our friends and family. Just keep the above in mind.
