TONI AND GUY HAIRDRESSING ACADEMY

I've had haircuts costing upwards of $100 that I've hated, so I decided I had nothing to lose with an $8 cut. It's scary to think of a student cutting your hair, but I can honestly say it was the most comfortable I've felt with a stylist in a long time! The nice thing about going to the academy is that the student gets an opportunity for hands-on training, but instructors are nearby. I met with the stylist and discussed the style I was looking for. She asked questions to confirm what I was looking for before calling her instructor over to review her plan. The stylist explained to her instructor what I wanted and how she planned to cut my hair, but the instructor recommended she use a different technique. The stylist took a lot of time to get exactly what I was looking for and I was very happy to receive the best, most manageable cut I've had in years. At $8, I could afford to give the "struggling student" a hefty tip and still pay less than I would at a traditional salon.
