We feel like we have a new dog that heels perfectly, walks well on a leash and doesn't try to attack other dogs anymore. I made several attempts to contact this company via e-mail links on Angies list and their website. I finally decided to contact them via telephone and was sent directly to a call center which knew absolutely nothing about the company. This should have been enough. I decided to take a call back from the manager and this turned out to be a mistake. The details are not important, but I will say that I would never hire a company that is not willing to give me details of what they provide. I did request information from the company via e-mail because their website reads more like a sales pitch. I never got that e-mail as promised.
I will never contact them nor recommend them to anyone I know.

Bill the behaviorist called and said the problems with my two chow-mix
dog aggression would be very costly(8K) to fix and the best solution was
to take my new dog back to the non-kill adoption center I got her from.
The dogs just don't get along even after a smooth, stress free introduction. I appreciate the honesty!

TLC K9 Academy did an excellent job. They are very professional, priced right for their services, punctual, professional. What you want from an animal or dog training professional.

WARNING!! We were seeking help with training our dog due to his food aggression, and my husband found TLC K9 Academy's website. We call to set up a "free" consultation and paid the $45 schedule fee (1/27/10). When the day came for the appointment we waited and waited and waited for someone to show up. Finally after 45 minutes we tried contacting the company to see if someone was still planning on coming out, the women that we initially made the appointment with said she would try to get in contact with the trainer and get back to us. After waiting 45 more minutes we still hadn't heard back from her or the trainer. The next day we called again and we asked why she didn't get back to us and she acted surprise that the trainer didn't call us back. Needless to say we asked for our scheduling fee to be refunded, which wasn't done until 7 days later. We were ready to just chalk this up to experience, however the same day they credited us the $45, they ALSO took out $2000 from our account!!!!!!!! We immediately contacted the company to get this cleared up, she said that she would look into it. Day went by when we NEVER heard back, all contact was initiated by us! She said that after reconciling her accounts she found where the error was but was unable to refund the money to us because it had already been spent, after several conversations our money was finally refunded 12 DAYS after it was taken out of our account without permission. Needless to say we would NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE!!!

We were having difficulties crating our dog at night because he would bark all night and keep us up. As a last resort we decided to call TLC K9 Academy to see if we could get the behavior stopped. The "Free Evaluation and Demo" had a $70 "scheduling fee" but I decided to move forward anyway and I'm very glad I did. They had us complete a questionnaire prior to the trainer arriving thought it did not seem that he had reviewed it. After introductions we began to talk about the problems we were having and he provided suggestions on how to better approach our dog so that we were more in control. Overall I am so happy with the service that was provided! Our trainer was very professional and solved our dog's (or rather our) behavior problems in the one introductory "free" session! I would definetly recommend them and should I have a future need would definetly call them.

When purchasing your dog training package, you get a lifetime guarantee on it and that is nice. I just wish we would have kept up with it because my dog would have learned a lot more. They would now be walking of lead and sitting in place when someone was to come over, instead of jumping all over them. I could, however, call them today and they would come out because it is a life time guarantee. The price was great and very reasonable for both of my dogs. I enjoyed the visit and I am very happy with the results. The man seemed to be very professional and I do not have any complaints.
