Dumpster Service
We saved a significant amount of money - the cost of his service was significantly less than renting a dumpster and involved quite a bit less labor on our part. He and his crew turned what seemed like a nearly insurmounatable task into something we accomplished in a matter of two days. Brian demonstrated integrity, worked hard, and was dependable. When he couldn't arrive at the house on the day and time planned for the second day's work, he notified us immediately and re-scheduled. We would recommend his services to our closest friends. Here?s the specifics: The goal was to empty out my mom's house to ready the house for sale. The valuable items had already been removed. My husband suggested we have a giant yard sale (advertise in the paper, and post signs). We did that ? a one day sale. We sold items at bargain prices. In the process we learned that most people are using Craig?s list to advertise yard sales because the cost of running an advertisement in the newspaper is so expensive. We spent $60 on a small add for an estate sale. Our good fortune was that a yard maintenance man stopped by. He said he had his own dump truck. He offered to do a part barter, and part cash deal to come back at the end of the sale, and help us clear everything else out. He said they would recycle the paper products, and take the items that could be donated to Good Will. He said he would help us clear out the back yard as well. At the end of the sale, he came by with his dump truck and trailer, and, with the help of his crew, proceeded to clear most of the rest of the house out. He arranged to come back the following day to finish the job. He and one person returned and finished most of the job. My husband paid Brian in full, and he came back later in the week to complete the rest. He is a big guy, and can work fast and lift heavy items. It cost us $150 in cash plus a few furniture items he wanted. It was more convenient and easier than renting a dumpster and loading the dumpster ourselves.
