Roger Spohn is The Home Theater Doctor. I can help you get the most out of your home audio or theater system. Serving clients throughout the Valley of the Sun area since 1977, I can eliminate the headaches of hooking up that new TV and Blu-Ray and setting up the network connection. No job is too small or too large for me to handle, and if you just need a little advice I'm happy to help you over the phone at no charge. Whether it's a new installation, or improving the system you already have, the doctor is in! I can tweak just about any system so you can enjoy movies, sports and television at optimal levels. Just remember, I handle all services personally, so when you schedule an appointment you get THE doctor! Roger came on a weekend because he is so busy during the week. He installed a new TV and fixed our old sound system. Our subwoofer was broken so he bought another one and hooked it up later in the day. The whole unit looks much better and more streamlined too. He was very pleasant and arrived right on time. I would definitely call him again.

Roger took the time necessary to diagnose the issues causing the outdoor speakers not to work. It turned out that the previous owner did not label the speaker wire destinations correctly and the existing volume control was not functional. He replaced the defective volume control, corrected and tested all of the wiring, installed new banana plugs to make the speaker wires easier to connect/disconnect, installed a wireless transmitter/receiver to address the subwoofer connection issue, and reconfigured the speakers in my A/V receiver. Roger was professional and took the time necessary to ensure everything was working as desired before he left and charged me the price he quoted even though the job took a bit longer than expected. I would highly recommend Roger to anyone and would not hesitate to hire him again in the future.

The best way to describe Roger: Pro. He knows what he's doing and he knows how to deliver excellent service. He made two visits, arriving on time for both: 1. Diagnosed quickly and gave ballpark costs; 2. He installed new receiver, fixed wiring and made sure speaker systems throughout house worked as intended. System now works great. We've used two other guys over the past decade for home theater installs/repairs. I went looking for a new guy because they were only OK. If I do this again, say in a new home, I will call Home Theater Doctor without looking anywhere else.

I have used multiple companies and spent dollars to fix my problem but the problem was never fixed. Then I found Roger on Angies's List. Roger fixed my problem with one small device that no other company recommended. Even the so called large vendors in this business (will not mention names) could not fix the problem but continued to charge me trip fees. Roger even stated if the problem is not fixed he would refund my money. I am so elated Roger fixed my problem which I had for over a year. Thank you Roger. I highly recommend Roger. SB

Roger called ahead when he was on the way and rang the doorbell at the time we'd arranged. (Be aware that Roger is in demand and most appointments are made about a week out.) Roger assessed the situation and methodically checked the connections on the receiver. He eliminated several unused cables, which trimmed down the wodge of cords and cables behind the unit. He tweaked some settings. All the speakers are now working simultaneously. Two hours later, the gear listed on our Harmony remote was operating perfectly. When asked, Roger made a recommendation for a better receiver we can buy in the future when we upgrade our TV to 4K. He sells Denon equipment and promised he will save us money when it's time to purchase a new receiver. Roger told me that he has been in this business for over 40 years. We appreciated his expertise and will not hesitate to call him again.

Roger was professional and diagnosed the issues efficiently. He also went over and above to help me get a replacement mini amplifier as it was under warranty. The company that made the amplifier doesn't work with end users, but only suppliers. Roger's company was not the one that sold me the amplifier, so he made the extra effort to get some of my original money back, which also meant that I didn't have to ship it back, wait for months for a replacement. Thanks Roger! I'm glad I found someone to support my audio needs that I can trust. That's not an easy task!

Excellent service provided. The owner, Roger Spohn, answered my call, scheduled the appointment, arrived on time, provided valuable advice, completed the requested services (which included a slightly different but better setup to enable me to use a single remote to operate my A/V system), and demonstrated how everything worked. After he was done with the requested service, he also "cleaned up" the wiring to make everything appear much cleaner and take up less space behind my console. When you call The Home Theater Doctor, you're going to get Roger; he's been in the business almost 40 years and his experience and wealth of knowledge was reflected in his work. Finally, he charged me what I believed to be a very reasonable fee for the work and service provided. Highly recommended.

Roger discovered (what I had suspected all along) that the original set up, when I purchased the components, was incorrectly wired. He corrected the situation and programmed my Logitech remote to do all the things I wanted. He also showed me a number of important aspects of my system that I found helpful and important. He did a marvelous job. I am very impressed with his knowledge. He definitely gets an A from me.

I had a very good experience. He was able to fix what was wrong. There were things not working right. It was just a mess, everything. Everything is wired for speakers. There's only speakers in the one room. I do not want speakers in every room. The previous owner had done that. He was here for maybe two hours. He did it really quickly. I was surprised. It was a really good price.

Roger was fast and knowledgeable. He set up the new equipment and cleaned up a mess of cable etc that was from a previous installation. Roger was also a wealth of information about which products are worthwhile and the best ways to get the most out or our investment in new AV equipment. I would not hesitate to use him again and again. He was on time, fairly priced and he did immaculate work.

He returned my initial call very quickly and scheduled an appointment within several days. Roger arrived on time and was very professional. He identified the problems, fixed everything, made sure speakers in other rooms and the patio worked and programed a smart remote so that the TV and all the stereo, CD, DVD components are all working seamlessly together. He spent time going over every detail of the set-up and the smart remote. I was extremely pleased with everything and would not hesitate to recommend Roger.
