The work was professionally done by Steve O'Donnell who knew exactly what needed to be done and how it would help.  He always showed up when he said he would and stayed late to finish the job.  I would recommend Steve and his company to anyone looking for a professional job at a good price.  We have already seen the difference in our electric bill.  We will have Steve back to finish the insulation work in the fall.

All went smoothly.  He was punctual and very careful to explain all that he was doing the energy assessment.  On the day of the retrofitting, his insulation guy's blower was broken, so he arranged for him to come the next day.  His partner came after the insulation guys left to fix up our attic entrances and clean up.  We also discussed whether we should put more insulation in the walls of the converted garage.  We were unsure of the cost:benefit ratio.  So he loaned us his temperature sensor so that we could measure the temp of the walls and ceilings in that room and compare it to the rest of the house during the hottest points of the day.  In the end, the walls measured about the same, so we did not opt for more wall insulation, just the attic insulation as we had agreed.  He did not pressure us at all to do that extra $450.

Steve also recommended A Hybrid Home for our HVAC work (they did a great job), as well as some vendors for solar roof panels and solar water heater (which we are not ready to do yet).

I would highly recommend his services, especially if you are moving in to a new house or renovating, or just sick of your high electricity bills.  His recommendations allowed us to spend more on retrofits that would save energy in a significant enough fashion that we were able to spend thousands less on our AC installation.  And those retrofits were covered about 50% by the APS rebates.
