Mike Aman the owner is great to work with, very easy going and obliging.  Mike did the initial consultation, design of the fireplaces and advised on the natural stone selection.  He also monitors his workers throughout and attends the home daily to ensure all is going to plan, discuss any concerns and make changes as necessary.  Mike's general theme is whatever makes his customer happy.
The two of his stonemasons who worked on our project, both named Jose are highly skilled in their craftsmanship.  Both hard working and happy to make changes should the stone placement not be to your liking.  They also were very careful about covering up furniture and generally very respectful. 
You are required to go to the stone supplier's yard where you can see all the samples and varies stone - natural and man made. I would advise to do this in the cool of the morning as a lot of the examples are outside.  The staff at the stone suppliers were very helpful also. 
A mantle is also an option which many will want to consider, although we did not go with one in the end.  If installing a mantle it is done in the early stages of the build and the stone built around it. Mike will kindly arrange for the mantle installer to visit your home and he was extremely helpful.

Mike has a good group of guys working for him. The quality was very good. The only issue I had was because of an overrun on another project he couldn't get started on mine as promised, but did start a day late.

The work began promptly with Mike making sure that the crew understood the project and the time line that I had requested and assuring me that the goals were feasible. Both projects went pretty much as planned and the work exceeded my expectations.  Mike Aman is very customer service oriented and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and informed suring the entire process. He has recently gotten his General Contractor's license and I will use him, where possible, for three upcoming projects. Down to earth and a pleasure to do business with- worth our time and money.

The work was done quickly and perfectly. It was very inexpensive. I never felt like I had to supervise them for the work. And the work was done in 3 days.
