Mr. Peter Maxie's certified home inspection report stated that our roof was in good condition or "middle life"  and as such he made no recommendation for further investigation by a licensed roofer.  Trusting Mr. Maxie's certified inspection my husband and I completed our final negotiations on the purchase price of the house and, since purchase, based and budgeted our home improvements.
24 months later my husband are I are now selling our house as we job-relocate out of state.  Currently in escrow, we learned that the integrity of Mr. Maxie's home inspection report has been seriously called into question.  Specifically, our buyer's home inspection report stated that the roof was in fact exhausted.  Additionally, none of the five licensed roofers who assessed the condition of the roof could suport he integrity of Mr. Maxie's work.  Estimates ranged from $10,500 to $9,300.
Mr. Maxie has not been easily or readily available to discuss this matter and we find this extremely troubling overall and in general as we attempt to meet our closing date in eight days.
I have a call into the national Pillar to Post Franchise and hope we will experience integrity and professionalism at this level.

I was very unhappy with them. They were recommended to me by the realtor I dealt with. I was not happy with them. I was not sure if it was because of them or because of me. I knew more than they knew. I wanted him to be official but he was not. He did a good job of whatever he did but he did not do enough. He did not do, what I would consider, a full inspection. I had hired another company to do the inspection on the house my daughter owned and he did a great job. Pillar to Post was cheaper than the other guy and I went with him but I will not do that again. I have to do another inspection this year maybe in April or May. I will probably hire the other guy. The price was good. He was punctual. He was pretty close to being on time. He was not very professional. I liked the guy personally but I don?t think he did a thorough job. I suppose, if he did an inspection for the average guy or average house, he probably did a fair job. For me, knowing a little more than maybe he did, I think he did not do enough.

He was very professional and was on time. He gave a report at the time he was there. It took about three and a half hours and he was very thorough!
