Billy greeted us and assured us that he could repair the lamp. My parents purchased after their wedding in 1946. It had a metal base, glass body and was slowly falling apart, to the extent that I did not think it could be repaired. Billy assured me that it just needed cleaning and adjusting. He was right. The work was done in a week, and it looks better than new. We have another lamp just like it, and when it needs repair, we will definitely take it to Phoenix Lamp.

We took our apothecary lamp into the shop on 11/2/13 and were told it would take 2-3 weeks. We had the expectation we would have it by Thanksgiving as it was a relatively minor repair. On 11/25 we called and were told it was in process and that they would call when it was ready. Several calls of inquiry by us followed on ensuing days. On 12/4/13 we called and the lady who answered the phone couldn't find it. Finally on 12/5/13, over one month later, we received a call that it was ready. When my husband picked it up and had loaded it in the car, he noticed the invoice was in someone else's name. When he took the incorrect invoice back, fortunately the price was identical, however there were no apologies offered.

I dropped of all the pieces and was given a 3 week time frame for completion. When I picked everything up 3 weeks later, the gentleman who had done the polishing explained that the plating on one of the pieces was worn thin and didn't polish out as well. I appreciated that he explained this. I wasn't surprised since the set is around 75 years old. Everything was wrapped but was shown a piece to see the workmanship. I was also told how to keep it buffed and looking beautiful. They referred me to Camelback Antique where I could by polishing gloves. Overall I was very happy with my experience.

Found the problem (not obvious) and fixed it quickly and inexpensively and promptly.

Work done on time and to our satisfaction.

Lampshades are more expensive than I perceived - but their quality and inventory took the edge off price.

I don't know where else to go.

The lamp is now handsome as well as bright. The service was polite and constructive. Both times I was there the shop was filled with customers, yet the staff was completely focussed on each customer as our turn came. I never felt rushed to make choices. I will go straight back to Phoenix Lamps the next time I need help with our lamps (or want a new one!).

I thought that the price was very reasonable. They did the work in a timely fashion, and the workmanship was of good quality. I was happy and would use them again.

They were very professional, responsive and punctual. Their pricing was reasonable as well. The quality of their work was very good and I was satisfied with their service.

I have made 2 trips there recently for replacement lamp shades--one new, two antique--and both times left with shades that were reasonably priced. And I was helped from start to finish in a professional manner.
