"I did check with the technician on this call and discussed the issues that were described as we always are looking for 100% satisfaction in our services. Our tech met with this customer by meeting them at a Sprouts since their address was outside of our service area. The laptop was approximately 7 years old and had some issues with stability. Our tech tuned up the device as best as possible and updated all the drivers. When we called to return it the very next day the customer was ill and could not meet us. We asked her to contact us when she felt better and we would meet her to return it. Several days later, she called and we promptly met her at a physical therapist office. The case was also broken and we advised that because of the age/shape of the laptop that we did not recommend further repairs on the unit as it would be best to purchase a new laptop. At that time she did not want to spend the money to transfer to a new unit so we returned her unit. The original problem could not be duplicated when we returned the unit. "Thank you for providing us with feedback. We always try to do the best thing for our customers. When our technician diagnosed your unit he determined that the motherboard was going bad and because of the age of the unit it would be best to replace the unit rather than repair it. On older models, the cost to repair is sometimes greater than the price of a nicer newer model. Unfortunately, motherboards have to be replaced rather than repaired. Hopefully we can help next time."
I paid for one hour of my time, but he stuck with it till complete and charged nothing extra. He has a client for life.
Nice guy, spelled it all out on the phone and gave me several tips on how to avoid these problems in the future.
