Called to get my AC cleaned after purchasing a year plan for over $500 and got denied. This plan is supposed to cover 2 cleanings a year. I used one upon my purchase of the plan. Apparently under the fine print of the contract cleanings are not covered in the last 3 months of the “year” contract. Really bad business practice to mislead your customers to thinking you are covered for the year. Wish to see more honest places live up to claims. I would find somewhere else if I were you.

Wonderfully! One of our AC systems developed a leak in the evaporator coil. This was discovered by North Valley Mechanical (NVM) during a spring tune-up arranged by OneGuard home warranty. NVM did the replacement replacing a 14 year old unit with a 14 seer 3 ton Goodman unit. Derrick and George were the first 2 techs on the scene. They explained all that they would do in understandable terms. Access to the Air handler unit in the attic is difficult and they had me remove all the shelving prior to their visit. The access is through an 18"x24" opening. They laid down drop cloths from the front door all the way to the closet with the access opening. Polite and professional all the way. Two other techs came a little later (I don't remember their names). They started around 8 in the morning and finished around 4:30 in the afternoon. They checked that everything worked and cleaned up everything. The system works great. The rooms it serves are uniformly cooled - even the kitchen which was always too warm. Way too warm. They also replaced the circuit breaker and drain pans. Added overflow switches. They made sheet metal modifications (is that what makes the kitchen cool now?) and installed an i-Wave air purifier. Our out of pocket cost was around $5,200 with the home warranty folks picking up, I'm guessing, $2,500 to $3,000 more. We are very happy with how it all worked out and will request NVM to come out when our other unit gives out.

Rip off the tech. called and said I needed a new thermostat and about 5 feet of thermostat wire. He quoted me a price of $310.00 which is about double what the price should be. I am a retired General contractor, so I am familiar with what cost are. I had Chas Roberts do the work, the total charge I paid was $150.00. I will pay the $75.00 service charge.

On very short notice, these guys came to the rescue. My AC started to leak, heavily dripping water onto my carpet. It took two buckets to control the flow. The office staff at NVM was professional and understanding. I wish I could remember the techs name, he was great. Very professional, explained everything and did what needed doing as quickly as possible. He even volunteered to replace my air filters. The price, I thought was right on. It is really nice to have a company like this that you know you can trust and feel good about referring to. Not so easy to find these days! Dutch~

Called my home warranty company and they scheduled another AC company to come out. That other company was non responsive after attempting to call multiple times to reschedule. I called my home warranty and said I would like to switch companies. They assigned me to North Valley Mechanical. From start to finish this company was great! They texted me when they were on their way which is an awesome and convenient service. David (Master Technician) was outstanding and very professional. Once he was done with the work he spent about 10 minutes talking about why that happened and ways to prevent it from happening in the future. He went out of his way to ensure I was taken care of even though the work only took him about 20 minutes. More of his time was setting up the ladder! I work for a GPS tracking company and work with a lot of HVAC companies. No one is as good as North Valley Mechanical is one of the best. Hopefully we can partner together one day!!!

The cost was the $65 service call fee for our Home Warranty insurance. I don't know what the cost would have been otherwise. Our AC unit was blowing warm air. The technician (David) quickly found that the capacitor needed to be replaced. He replaced it and could have been off to his next assignment, but he noticed the refrigerant wasn't flowing as efficiently as it should through the system. He stayed 2 more hours to diagnose and fix that issue (an issue I would not have been aware of).
I think I found the AC company I'll be using in the future.

I appreciated this company. We recently purchased our unit and the air went out when we had a renter in it. Was not a pleasant experience for the renter. Unusual hot spell and it was to be 100 that week. We live out of state and I explained my problem to Kendra. She answered the phone and was pleasant and knowledgeable. She was able to send someone out that evening. I had a new split unit system installed a couple days later. They had to bring out a crane because my unit is on the roof of the condo/townhouse. We originally had someone come out from another company under our home warranty. They informed us that freon was not covered and it would be $85 a pound. The unit took 13 pounds. At that point we decided to go with a different company.

They charged 49.99. Other companies have a 39.99 for an A/C check so they have prices of the same thing. Their quality is quite good. They came on time.

Workers arrived on time and began immediately. They were careful when removing the old units. They took time to answer my questions and made sure I understood what was going on. When they came into the house, they laid down floor covering.
The new units run much quieter and perform great. Two new thermostats, 2 new return grates and one year filters were installed.

After thorough examination technician informed that their was no new parts needed. He explained that it just needed a good cleaning and some ajustments. He proceeded to clean and adjust unit. He cleaned up after himself and took time to explain everything.

Very proffesional,
They came out as part of my home warranty so I was initially hesistant. The two techs were outstanding they did great work, they were quick and were able to get my system up quickly I always ask for them when my home warranty is used.

Chris called in advance to confirm arrival time. He was professional, courteous and well informed. After being told the symptoms he determined that the control board had failed. Fortunately he had a replacement with him and was able to complete the job quickly. He checked everything, verified that the system was working and was on his way.
All communication with the office was courteous and efficient. The only issue was schedule availability, as our failure occurred the weekend. Nevertheless, no false promises were made and technician arrived as scheduled. This is small, family business that clearly takes pride in serving its customers.
This work was done under a Fidelity Home Warranty, and I am now fortunate to have a good, new service provider.

Shaun called to let me know he was 10 minutes away; he arrived as scheduled. I explained about the inspection report, pulled it up on the computer so he could review the exact wording and photos. He then proceeded to correct the problem. What he did looks soooo much better. I don't have a clue what's right or wrong, but this just looked correct compared to what was there.
I explained about another issue I was having with repect to my AC/heater. A well known company came back under warranty to correct two inspection report items. The buyer's agent showed after photos to a plumber who said it was still wrong. No further details. Shaun read the report on that, looked at the before and after photos and he was able to explain what needed to be done.
Shaun documented what was needed on my invoice so I could provide it to the warranty company.
Not only was the job well done, it was done in a timely manner to meet the 10-day inspection period.
North Valley Mechanical is definitely on my list of service providers to be used.

It was a good experience. They came out to figure out the gas logs when they were actually working. The appointment was quick and he kept it. He had to order a part, and he came back around my schedule to replace that part. He cleared up everything when he was done. There was nothing really for him to improve upon. I remember the guy very well and he did a great job.
