Electronic Gadget Repair
I took a chance on this company and I'm really glad that I did. This review is as much a criticism of Verizon as it is a thumbs up for NexTech.
The microphone was not working on my I-Phone 4-S. I took it to my cell phone carrier (Verizon) who told me that there was water damage (I had not dropped in water, ext). Of course Verizon encouraged me to upgrade my I-phone. I have a warranty for my phone with Verizon.
Something told me not to trust Verizon. I'm not a tech person, by the way, in case you can't tell.
NexTech advertises as repair for mobile devices. I went to their small shop in central Phoenix. Two young men were there. The person who provided my service showed me that there was no water damage. A part needed to be replaced. He did it on the spot and now my "antique" I-phone is working perfectly. I spent less than I would for replacing it on my warranty. I'm so happy to have not line the pockets of Verizon for seeming dishonesty to me. I am glad to not line the pockets of Apple, either. I'd rather pay this enterprising company, NexTech, for the skills and honesty.
Lastly, I am 50 years old, & I appreciate how the young technician did not display an arrogant attitude that I am so stupid when it comes to technology. My interaction with this company gives me optimism.
