Ruben is not to be trusted. He did not finish the job after he was paid and he went silent on communication. Very poor businessman. Even worse, I mistakingly sent him a Zelle payment and despite numerous requests he will not send back the proceeds that were not meant for him.. Very dishonest person. Warning to allâ ¦. Bad business. His father is a nice gentlemen however Ruben Junior is a dishonest person.

We were promised out possessions would be covered. We had paint on wood floors, area rugs and throw pillows. We were painting same color so areas and trim were missed. They also used semi rough roller for smooth walls that left a pattern on the wall. They were extremely slow when dealing with that issue. The father came back and spent one day painting with correct roller but the job was never finished. Doors were painted but they did not put the same doors back in same frames so we have issues with improper fit. I also purchased the last 5 gallons of paint for the redo. Ruben made a lot of promises but did not deliver.

They did a poor job in many areas. They promised to return for touch ups but have ghosted me for almost a year now.

They are not the traditional Painting company you might expect. They start on time and early (nice change from other contractor experiences I've had). When they get there, they get right to work. The crew that worked my project was the most efficient crew at what they do and how they go about their work I've ever seen. The work is high quality, the crew was effecient and the cost was reasonable. Great experience for us. I would highly recommend Rueben's company.

Ruben and company are reasonable. They did a nice job on the exterior of my home. I would not hire them again for a garage coating. The epoxy coating they did on my garage slab did not adhere and has begun to peal off and bubble after only 1-1/2 months. Unfortunately, I can't get any response from them on the issue.

Ruben is professional, courteous, and really went the extra mile for me. I had a deadline I needed met, and it wasnâ t an easy job (covering some dark colors and previous custom finishes)... but the results were so much better than I expected! When he was working through some resource planning early on, he communicated with me daily to let me know how everything was going, which I really appreciated. The job was completed with time to spare, and they left the condo looking brand new. Everyone that has since seen the work he and his team did all think i made the right choice in hiring New Era. I agree wholeheartedly.

Did what they said the were going to do and more. Great updates and follow-ups throughout the project and finished ahead of schedule.

They did a superior job! Ruben SR and Usa went above and beyond with great preparation before painting, careful attention to detail while painting and then leaving all areas spotlessly clean when the job was completed. I am so pleased and will definitely use them for all my painting needs.

CONTRACTED WORK WAS NEVER DONE! we wanted Ruben to paint our house exterior but first needed some sliding glass doors replaced with French doors, which he offered to arrange. He and his friend, Ezequiel, came over and measured, and we paid for the doors on July 11. We told them we wanted the new doors to match some that were already in another room, but when they arrived 8/7, the side windows did not match. Ruben accepted responsibility for the error and emailed us that he and Ezequiel would pay for correcting them. Ezequiel came out on 8/8 to measure, and again on 8/10, to verify something. He told us the windows were being ordered from Window Depot. We were told it might take as much as 4 more weeks--but we were willing to wait, to make it right. On 8/29, We emailed Ruben asking if hed heard anything, and on 8/30 he replied: he would contact the connections and keep us posted the next day. After we asked him on 9/2 and 9/4 what hed learned, he emailed us back on 9/4 that he had called the door manufacturer and,They said the shipment is backed up.That was the last we heard from him, we called Window Depot on 9/23 and they could not find an order for the windows. We emailed him on 9/14, 9/17, 9/21 (and left a voicemail), and on 9/23 we called a dozen times and left voicemails. We have yet to hear back from him. This lack of communication is extremely unprofessional.

Ruben came and gave us an estimate at our home. In the estimate Ruben said all walls would be sanded, nail holes covered to sure a smooth painting. When our day of service came Ruben was here for the first 5 minutes. He left and the 2 painters just started painting with NO prep at all whatsoever. They did not remove outlet covers, light switch covers. Just brushed thick paint around the outside and got paint everywhere. I texted Ruben and asked him to come over the next morning as I was concerned they were going to fast, and nail holes were not getting covered and walls were not being prepped. He told me he couldn't come over because he had "things to take care of" and told me to just "tell the painters myself". So, I asked the painters to please fill in the nail holes and sand rough patches on the wall, and please take off the power and light covers. Towards the end of the second day, holes were still not being filled and they were moving REALLY fast, no way to complete 2 coats on an entire upstairs in 1 hour and the original color was showing through after they said 2 coats had been completed. So, this time I told Ruben he had to come over in the morning, things were not going well. Ruben did come, and promised everything would be fixed and he would come back to do a final walk through. Day 3 of painting, they finally did cover most of the nail holes and did a little bit of sanding. But by this time we had grey paint sprayed all over our baseboards, mirrors in the bathrooms, and bathroom light fixtures. They did not put power and light covers back on. They were just tossed around the house, screws everywhere. The painters told me on day 3 to point out any touch-ups because they would not be coming back again. I pointed out the touch-ups, most of which were SO completely obvious I can't believe I even had to point them out. I asked Ruben if he was coming as promised and he said No, not coming. And reminded me to make sure the painters did any touch-ups. I then found out Ruben had actually subbed out our project to another company as the painters were talking with other contractors in my house and they exchanged business cards, these were not even his employees. They ended up leaving not finishing the touch-ups and I asked them if they had been done and they said yes. We had grey paint on our new white cabinets, terrible ceiling lines. Every time I contacted Ruben he basically told me to handle the painters myself. I was very uncomfortable telling the painters directly as they were not listening to me. In the end I just wanted them out of the house. I emailed Ruben my disappointment. He did offer to send more people out again, but at this point my husband and I decided to fix it ourselves out of fear of more damage to our new counter tops and cabinets. I am so disappointed in this work. I can't believe he expected me to manage his employees and tell them what to do. He had no care for our concern, and honestly seemed like he could have cared less how the job turned out. In the end, I am disgusted I paid him in full for this work.

I can't say enough about New Era Painting, They did quality work from beginning to end. Once you hire them you will never have to search for another paint Company again. Thank you Ruben for an excellent job.

highly recommend Rubin and his crew. We hired them to do exterior painting on our house. The quote and final cost were very reasonable.. They did some repairs on the parapet, fixed woodpecker holes, painted the house and walls - all in 5 days...definitely would hire them again...
