"[Member Name Removed], I am sorry to hear you had to replace your refrigerator. As you know, we warranty our repairs for a period of one year. Looking at your service history I noticed that on the initial service call your refrigerator was not running at all. We replaced a power control board and got it running. After that you found the refrigerator was still not cooling efficiently so we came back out free of charge to examine why. We found your variable speed compressor to be running at one speed, high speed so we replaced the control board at our cost. After still not getting the results you wanted we came out again and found the variable speed compressor to be the issue. The compressor in that refrigerator is very dependable and has a very low failure rate. However, replacing them is rather pricey and I not only understand your decision to purchase a new refrigerator, I agree with it. Unfortunately, the compressor was what caused the initial board failure and we couldn't know that until we got the refrigerator running again. Just to preface this;, the beginning has to do with the reason we contacted Mr. Appliance of Midtown. The door lock mechanism for my washer was no longer functioning. We contacted the warranty repair company and they setup a service with another company. When they called to schedule the time to come out, we gave them the error code from the washer and told them what Whirlpool said was the problem. We did this so we wouldn't have to wait two weeks for a part. The technician showed up as scheduled, a week after the initial call and looked at the washer. He verified the code that we gave him and said that he will order the part and contact us in a week when he had the part. We told him that we already gave the information to his dispatch so that he could have the part when he came out. He said that's his job and not theirs. When we asked to speak to his supervisor he said he didn't have one.
After he left we contacted warranty people and said we wanted someone else to fix our washer. They suggested Mr. Appliance of Midtown and I am glad that they did. They were prompt in getting in contact with us and scheduling a time to fix the washer. We gave the error code from the washer to them and told them what Whirlpool said would be the problem, the door lock mechanism. The technician showed up with part in hand and replaced the mechanism. We were very happy with the prompt response and professionalism of Mr. Appliance of Midtown and will gladly do business with them again.
Returned with a possible problem solver but didn't need it....
Will use him again
Our freezer was useless to us. George fixed it, and noticed during the job that our condenser coils were dirty (makes the freezer work harder). He also cleaned the coils without charging us for it.
