McFarland's Carpet Service
About us
McFarland's Carpet Service has been family owned and operated since 1947. Your oriental rugs and carpets are not just art treasures; they're also very valuable investments. They must be stored and cleaned properly to maintain the rug itself and increase the value. That's why you want a rug cleaning specialist that will take care of your rug and not a "carpet cleaner".

McFarland was recommended by the seller when we bought Tibetan wool rugs several years ago and I have used them to clean these rugs every year or two. The service has always been excellent. When I spilled coffee on one of the rugs last year I promptly took it to McFarland. They worked on it immediately before the stain could set, with great results. I will continue to use them for their care of quality rugs and their good service.
"Thank you for using our oriental rug cleaning service. McFarland's has been cleaning rugs at this location for over 70 years and while the neighborhood may have changed, our professional service and cleaning results have not. We are a family owned local business offering the best price in the valley for hand cleaning of oriental rugs. In the first step of our process, we have a large machine that dusts the embedded dirt out of the rugs before they are cleaned. At the end, we have a large carpet wringer that presses out most of the clean rinse water after our hand washing is completed. The rugs are then dried overnight in our temperature controlled dry room. These two custom made pieces of equipment were very expensive, but these items make our meticulous cleaning process unique in the valley. In fact, there are only about 30 rug cleaning plants in the United States and we our proud that ours is one of the oldest and most established in the nation. We offer tours to any customer who expresses an interest in the cleaning process. This tour may have made your understanding of the process a little easier. The rugs are actually cleaned with a combination of detergent and fabric softener. Customers who are chemically sensitive occasionally request to use their own brand of laundry detergent. We are happy to accommodate any reasonable customer request. We have many rugs in our facility as some customers trust us to meet storage concerns and we wash over a hundred rugs every week individually. All of the rugs in our facility are wrapped in plastic after they are completed and stored in a secure location until returned to our customers. We are properly licensed and insured for loss and assume full responsibility for the rugs in our care. We guarantee our cleaning service is of the highest quality and ask any customer who is not happy to return immediately to have their rugs cleaned again at no additional cost."
